I would agree with you in principle, but I have seen the same thing done better without Francis' deficient personality traits and Hamlet-like soliloquies about how hard his daughter-fucking life is. The Daddy Plan is a reverse corruption game and doesn't have that bullshit. Radiant doesn't have that bullshit. Nor does A Moment of Bliss. It just grates on people. It's like a record scratch when everybody is dancing. This is meant to be a joyous game and every time he steps up onto his mental soap box it kills joy. Everybody is having fun but Frank and it causes ludonarrative dissonance. Because people like the reluctance but not the self-flagellation. Ain't nobody have time for that we are trying to make a porn game here.

It definitely does though. MC of that game spent the entire Petal game set right before to it in a Frank like character development plot, and until he finally commits to fucking Petal again keeps it up for probably the first third or so of aMoB.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not disagreeing that it's annoying. Other games with a hesitant uncorrupted MC like the Rose Garden Trilogy and Light of my Life don't have the pacing issues, or the one step forward 2 steps back bullshit that this one does, but the beta male MC whining about pussy being thrown at his face is pretty common for the daughter>daddy corruption setup.

I don't know the other games you mention, but if you place "Radiant" as an example I cannot follow you. That game had a great opening chapter, arguably one of the most promising ever, and since then only tried to find more and more ridiculous ways to make any character seem stupid and artificial while destroying any resemblance to actual human beings with any kind of emotion. All of MC and daughters and secondary LIs have been getting less bearable by the dialogue line. One of the greatest disappointments for me, not for the long update times (you may find my comments in said thread about it) but for the complete and utter destruction of anything making this story interesting in the first place.

However, for this thread the most important part is: it is not a reverse corruption game. MC is not an "innocent" guy driven to depravity by his daughters at all. He is a leacherous creep from the beginning (possibly depending on choices, it's been a while since I tried it and I am not gonna go there again) so the comparison just doesn't hold up. And that's not because I have something against playing a leacherous creep, that can be fun. But Radiant MC is a completely different person and Radiant storyline completely different from Single Again.

To be fair I didn't say that you have to like the reverse corruption games I mentioned. Not all of them are my cup of tea either. I'm more a Friends in Need and Fake Father kind of guy. You know, good clean honest perverts. I just said that those games handled the father fucking better. If Francis crying himself to sleep in a gigantic puddle of cum, vaginal secretions, and manly tears is your idea of a good time there isn't much that I can say to dissuade you.

Yes, that's what you said, and thus my first paragraph was just me ranting and a bit off topic for the discussion here. But the second one was relevant: at least Radiant is NOT a "reverse corruption" game at all. So it is not useful as an example.

And the other question remains: if you dislike shedding manly tears so much, why are you constantly doing it in this thread instead of moving on to be a plain pervert?

Well after finally catching all the way up, I've just found it easier now to read all interaction dialgues and then just skip whatever crap the MC is internalising until we get back to an actual conversation again. Not missing anything and makes it far more enjoyable.

Hey all, Sneak peek time again.

This update will span (Almost) two days, starting on Friday and most of Saturday in game. I had to split up Saturday or this update would be utterly massive. It's kind of a big day for the group.

Of course there will be lewd stuff. As well as the long awaited return of a hated (by most) character, Shannon. But there will be some touching (I hope) moments too.

I've updated the Progress report image and set the (Estimated) release date to mid August. Images and videos for 1.22 are done. Here's a sneak peek at that.
