Um, why would it cost him money? He'd be keeping an active title on Patreon so he could keep making money there.

Patreon already hit him once based on the game's current state and he decided after recovering from the hit to make the change ... although I wouldn't be surprised if he was hedging his bets before that, since Patreon has been breathing down everyone's necks for a while.
So even if he loses Patrons, it's still better than the constant risk of losing his account.

I hear a lot of threads with problems surrounding Patreon. Aren't there other payment providers they can use?

patreon is not a payment processor, those are mastercard, visa and the likes, and they can strongarm service providers such as patreon if they don't like their policies or content they host. So simply switching to another service, while may work short term is not a great solution, as eventually those sites may be forced to change their policies too. Dunno if you remember when a huge portion of pornhub content was nuked a couple years ago... that was because visa and mastercard forced them to.

Most creators are using multiple payment methods now, Patreon and Subscribestar usually. Some use others but they dont seem as popular. I know at least 1 creator who is looking at Discords payment platform as well.

Buy me a coffee actually seems to support both one-time donations (size of donation is usually measured in number of coffee cups) and monthly memberships. They don't allow any adult contents, though.
Frankly I think this game may as well be dead. Hell, we will get Judith content in Summertime Saga faster than Frank actually showing some initiative and doing something of his own volition.
Add to that Patreon going all puritan and going after incest content, pretty much means the dev is trapped. The moment that Frank fucks Abby, his account gets nuked from orbit, so he does the rational thing to keep the revenue stream going.
He pads every update with as much bullshit as possible, mainly Frank second guessing his every fucking action, rinse and repeat.
Slow pacing and character development is one thing. This isn't that.

Hello all,
Well we're getting closer to the release of 1.24.2 and it's time for some pics from the update. The progress report has been updated and 1.24.2 is set to come out on November 15th. In terms of size this will be just as big if not bigger than the last update.
I mentioned before that after this update I'll be working on the new game to get it's first update out. I think it's best if I finish off the whole 1.24 update before I start with that. So the plan is to have all of 1.24 done before the start of the new year. On the plus side the images and videos for the first update of the new game are now done and are waiting for me to start writing.
But first I want to finish 1.24 then I still need to find time to do Becca's story in FFT for her win as best girl (Been putting that off for way too long) and do a Christmas story as well. The next couple of months are going to be busy.
I won't be doing a Halloween story this year, but I have made a bunch of images for the girls that will be posted on Discord for everyone to enjoy.
Hope you all enjoy the preview pics for 1.24.2. Only a couple more weeks until it's ready.

So Becca's having a sexy time with Frank in this upcoming update. And perhaps a steamy shower with Tanya will follow (I think that's the name of the gym girl). I do wonder what's in store in terms of story regarding Abby, Lily, Beth an so on. Can't wait to see the new update being released in a few weeks.

Wrapping up 1.24 before releasing the new game and releasing 1.24.3 for the end of the year was what I was hoping for, honestly, but I had totally forgotten about the special Becca story and the possible Christmas story--and even then, this would probably have meant that 1.24.2 had to released for the end of October for everything to be on time.
Now, with 1.24.2 planned for mid-November (so, may release a bit later) *and* the two additional stories to fit in, end of the year seems super optimistic, imho. But I guess we'll see. After all, CNG always has the next couple of updates ready to go (as far as renders and animations go) when releasing the current one, so maybe there's a backlog of stuff that can be released quickly enough. Otherwise, I guess we're probably looking at end of January instead for 1.24.3, so let's hope for the best.
