really? and which sense?? do you feels the game is not good enought?
I feel like the effect system lacks depth.

For example, leach eggs and tentacle eggs could have a different debuffs instead of just a minor MP decrease.
The majority of the effects aren't that threatening until you accumulate them and Game Over, but in this case it's easy to heal yourself.

I have some ideas:
- increase the effects penalties (at least in normal mode)
- differentiate the effects more so each one nerfs you in different ways
- increase the effects penalties but also give buffs (I really liked the fact Enlarged Breasts and Lactation give a buff, even if minor)

The last idea could be fun, and pontentially could add some replayability. Imagine doing a run with leech eggs because they nerf your mp but boost attack.

Obviously the more variety to each effect the better.

Im thinking of making a Hardcore mod, does anyone have ideas for things i can change or implement to make the game hardcore?

Changes to Sinisistar2 in relation to the mod could be some combination of these…
  • Grab enemies more aggressive (attacks sooner)
  • Aroused debuff now can be applied outside of parasite debuff x/5
  • Faster defilement application
  • Stronger mana debuffs for statuses
  • Lactation now leaks your mana (either timed or when you are hit) (probably the latter)
  • Any form of big belly could disable sprint? Not sure if this could soft lock you; if you get the float spell you would no longer be soft locked, but that’s nearly late game.
  • Pregnancy kicks damage health? Applies slow for a sec?
  • Pregnancy increases melee damage (non-magical) if pregnancy kicks is going to happen when I use magic I don’t see why I shouldn’t get rewarded for using non-magic melee.
  • Semen cover attracts jellyfish? Not strictly a debuff in-game. Being covered in semen happens to the portrait. Not to be confused with the “semen buildup”debuff
  • Brainwashing debuff now available outside that one mage? Applies by jellyfish maybe. Effect is can’t reject the ruffian in village idk.
  • Pig parasite can be added by the parasite that jumps out of the Pig? This makes 2/2 possible outside of Pigman boss, and you’d have to milk yourself to get out of that state.
  • imo running out of mana SUCKS in this game. Some way to recover mana might be needed if difficulty is added. Maybe make it so most enemies now drop mana on death. Maybe semen buildup/pregnancy/flesh bud makes it so more mana absorbed. Or by default melee attacks regain your mana on hit.
  • Not sure what you’d do for the various eggs. Maybe just take less damage and/or lower aggression respective to the enemies related to the eggs (Leech/Tentacle/Parasite)
  • Womb crest could give less mana expended+more max mana, but lowers magic damage? Crest could also keep you aroused? I’d love more pregnancy mechanics related to this but base game doesn’t have much to support it.

Mission Mermaiden can get away with the debuffs because she has a get out of jail free card by entering boost mode and the fact her base attack is pretty strong. Leila here can’t kill some the enemies reliably/safely without her magic arrow.

it would be nice if any of these changes could be turned on or off, or numbers changes if numbers are too high.

Thank you guys for some ideas, more are always welcome. The first things i would like to implement are making status effects harder to remove, like by making it cost each time to remove them (or make it more expensive depending on how severe you are affected currently). Im also considering adjusting saving the game and save points a bit, ill have to brainstorm a bit to see how exactly i can adjust it.

Just don't make the enemies have more hit points. That's the worst way to increase difficulty in my mind.

Perhaps add a story modifier to clothing damage? I found the thought of Lilia wandering around town while looking worse for wear took a hit to immersion when you'd think the villagers themselves would have different dialect based on her status.

For instance, if she has damaged clothes while wandering around the shadier parts of the town she's far more susceptible to being a target of rape since the assailants would consider it a sign of weakness. That or some NPCs take pity on her instead, giving a health/mana potion with advice to rest up.

Thank you guys for some ideas, more are always welcome. The first things i would like to implement are making status effects harder to remove, like by making it cost each time to remove them (or make it more expensive depending on how severe you are affected currently). Im also considering adjusting saving the game and save points a bit, ill have to brainstorm a bit to see how exactly i can adjust it.
Actually I would like to add one more thing:

Slime debuff from the tentacle cave; debuff is persistent, no longer slows, instead gives buff to struggling out of things(on account of being slippery!). Do note that wading through the slime pools in the tentacle cave would still slow you.

I would advise against the second option. Just seems like a terrible addition to the grind.

Come to think on it, I miss the original game's lack of lvling. Wish we could remove it from the sequel altogether but still find other means to increase the attack/health/mana pools in a more immersive way... or simply remove lvling those, too.

other that having more threatening enemies and statuses, I would wish this game have more significant leveling to compensate that, at least having 200hp/mp at level 10
the original game just gives you a slight bonus by leveling, than in the end feels more or less like nothing...

I don't quite understand, why would a male Holy Knight not be as useful? Is Sinistar's world just more favorable to women when it comes to holy-based magic, if not straight up exclusive?

Something like that it seams. Girls can master purification techniques better.

Its not necessarily that Holy magic works best when used by woman, but rather, take a look at most of the monster we've fought in both Sinisistar 1 & 2. Outside of the ones that just outright kill Rabianne or Lelia with no second thoughts or hesitation, most enemies use them as breeding bags.

Lets say it was a man instead in their positions, do you think then, that ANY of the enemies in either game would give even a seconds worth of continued existence to said man once they've been defeated?

I think that's why its mostly been Sisters/Nuns/Women leading the charge, because most of these abominations offer them a 2nd chance in the way of trying to breed them, which gives them an opportunity to escape and finish their mission

Possible explanation: the Sisterhood is aware that they are baiting the abominations and will probably end up raped before killing them. Which is why they have the Blessing of Infertility in the first place.

It's just the wording sounds like males are somehow less adequate in purification magic based on this excerpt here:

I would caution against the statue and White Potion changes you listed. With the statues no longer removing defilement, the only way to remove it would be to head back to Haanja. While I would be fine with that change, cause hey, more challenge! It's a hardcore mod after all and I'm the type of player to fight the Dancer and the Dragonslayer Armour right after killing Vordt in DS3. The problem is that with the increased defilement levels gained upon grab and the higher struggling difficulty for a low level Lilia, the early game just becomes a 'no-hit run'. I'm concerned that those changes may result in the game feeling more tedious instead of being challenging, but fun as a result.

I would suggest that White Potions remove at least five levels (My personal recommendation) or remain unchanged because they're rare enough as is, since the only consistent supply is after the Demi-Human Raid; and the late-game stages like the Stomach dungeon are already insanely grab-heavy.

Honestly, we don't have a clear answer. Nennai only mentions 'Holy Knights' briefly in their blog post and that's when they were introducing the role of the 'Sisters' in the game and the world. Other than mentioning that the Church values exceptionally skilled sisters like Lilia and Rabiane when it comes to their skill in purification magic over their male counterparts, they don't elaborate any further on the Holy Knights other than that.

You know, i could make the white potion in the shop not a one time purchase, but able to be purchased as many times as you want.
I agree with your point on making the white potion remove at least 5 levels of defilement.


So in summary:
- Statues dont reset your defilement
- White Potions remove only 5 levels of defilement (There are 10 levels in total iirc so to completely remove your defilement you would have to drink 2 white potions)
- White Potions are not a one time purchase anymore in the shop

What do you think? (Should i adjust the price of the white potion then?)

It would be great to add more non-gameover pregnancies like with eggs, i saw that when you got pregnant with demihuman it says in description that it is demihuman pregnancy, not abomination broodling. I was surprised when saw it was treated as such by Haanja, same goes for tentacle eggs, there is a bug when you can 'purge' them via boss fight or via 'cure other effects'.

it would be better to spawn those after some period, like:
- eggs will goes to 2nd phase themselves and spawn young tentas but not all at once, returning eggs to 1st phase. (i really dont get why spawnin mechanics dont used anywere else except cave)
- labour pains causes slow
- same mechanics for leaches, of course spawning goes random and causes slowdown effect when you can only melee and slowly walk around
- demihuman will spawn and just stays there until you leave area (same can be done for piglings)
- different fetuses sprites?
- enemies that suck breasts could be carried around in some conditions? (like if you have lewd mark - they drain mana instead of health and stays on you)


also cool features:
lewd mark - 2 stages instead of 3 (underground monastery is easy level, i had only minor problem with lasers) you need more enemies there anyway
brainwashing has 2 stages - first causes you to reverse controls from time to time, second - game over

you wont acquire your gear in demihuman cave after becoming pregnant and naked , agre fighting guards you will have to run around with your fists as weapon (invisible wand of hardship or visible if its hard to implement) and search for gear in random room/random cave chest

its a shame that Wriggling Mud used only once in whole game
basement stairs could be twice as long, also picture insects dont do shit

"White Potions remove only 5 levels of defilement " dont think its good idea buying them if statue wont clean you will be hard enough
Unless you add hardcore difficulty for this + no fast travel (actually i thought at the beginning there were none and was sad after descovering it)
