I was about to ask when you guys were gonna post the newest update on Steam. I saw one of your comments that said it was going to be updated last Friday, but when I checked the storefront, it was still saying the latest version is 0.14 (March 3rd release). I thought my Steam wasn't updating for some reason, which was weird since the latest update for PL2 was on there. But it seems I got my answer lol.
Yeah, it's on the beta branch. Content wise it's been complete for a while.
Basically some (wonderful) maniac did a deep qa run on it on Friday, and we've spent the last few days cleaning up all the little buglets and issues raised. I think the current build is our release candidate, but I'm giving it a little time in case something obvious accidentally broke.

Droid Productions I just finished Forging the Dream and I wanted to say congratulations on another great update. Good length for the update and it wraps up Pog's narrative well enough to have some finality but leaves it open enough to be explored in a sequel. Also the second entry for Linda was awesome, I'm looking forward to see her story progress.
I had one issue with my playthrough of the update. I don't know if it was a glitch or if by design, but Annya's store did not have any of the pickable flowers for sale. Since we had to collect a high number of flowers for two of the quests in the latest update, it started becoming tedious since the flowers only regenerate every other day. I recall it being mentioned by Izelle during the start of one of the quest that flowers could be purchased from the store, but nothing was popping up for me. Also, I did the flower picking activity with Dawn over 20 times and the RNG was really not in my favor since that gave me zero of the flowers needed for the two quests. Don't know if that's something you guys might want to look into. Lowering the number of flowers needed for the quests might be a viable option. Also, small nitpick, but speaking of Annya, her name shows up as Ann in the spankbank. Wasn't sure if that was ever brought up to you guys.
One other thing I wanted to ask is why you guys removed the sleepover feature with the girls in their rooms? This applies to PL2 as well, and with that game being pretty much finished, I suppose it's safe to assume that you won't be adding it in. Personally I really liked that feature in PL1 since narratively it signified that the girls are fully trusting the MC and bringing the relationship full circle. Also the repeatable scenes within the game are always a plus. With Sinner's Landing, I was surprised that you can't do that with Pog at this point since her story is finished.

The short answer is the artists hated it, because they often add inconsistencies. In Paradise Lust 1 you have sex in the river, in the ocean, in the lagoon, with various outfit changes... some you can repurpose, but something like the lake sex with Cath ended up looking weird, because it assumes it was underwater. Similarly Maria likes to cosplay, so a lot of her sex scenes involve her dressing up (and it's not worth redrawing and re-animating all of it without her nun outfit on, for example).
In the end I guess I underestimated how much people wanted that stuff; we're looking at adding it back in for Paradise Lust 3 and Sinners Landing.
Weird game. I think I did (almost?) everything for this version, but "Truth and Glory" bugged out in the library and remains unfinished. Well, whatever.
I very nearly just immediately stopped with the opening scene. Not that the setup is bad, but the protagonist comes across as just obnoxious and obnoxiously stupid and goes on and on and on and on and just. does. not. stop. talking.
Fortunately I stuck with it for a bit. The problem doesn't really go away; it seems the idea here is that if people just keep talking at some point comedy happens, right? Kinda the Ghostbusters remake approach ...
But it's never quite as bad as in the beginning, and there's some good stuff sprinkled in between. Generally likable characters help. Even though I'm a bit tired of Chosen One porn protagonist stories.
Gameplay ... not much of a card game player but I largely enjoyed this. Perhaps should've been a little bit more difficult. I also felt some cards didn't work as described, but who knows. Might be incorrect interpretation by me.
The stats you gain feel just completely useless.
Minigames ... amount and art is impressive but what the heck, pure busywork with no fail state. Some of them like the "night visions" are just pure tedium. But it broadly feels like they are all missing, well, the *game* element of being a *minigame*. Maybe they should be called minichores.
To me it ended up feeling like an odd beta version where you have lots of content implemented but the script isn't yet edited and some features that make the gameplay have any actual purpose are still missing. Like maybe an RTS where you don't have the AI factions implemented yet. Weird. Not necessarily bad. But also not great. ^^#

Hi. I'm not done with this version yet (0.14.0N) but I have to say if you do the Pog quest thing about her giving her old master last items from the chest instantly before talking to Tyra: there is a big missing text dialogues then, animations without text. I had to restart my previous save, then I did Tyra quest and her dialogues first (until discovering the lense eye map thing) and retried Pog quest and then only it worked just fine with all dialogues appearing.

anyone having an issue with the search for the orb of souls? After completing a sudoku like puzzle the screen is black and I cannot continue, I can only retreat.
EDIT: I was able to advance time, try to go the Inn to sleep, but then I was able to continue in the dungeon.

And yes, it was always planned to end Q4 of 2025; it's been in development since 2021, that's way more than long enough.

Yeah, if you're looking for gay/lesbian sex, this isn't it. I didn't add the tag, I'm guessing someone did because there are sex scenes with more than 1 girl.
