From what I gathered, the next update will be mostly main story related with an introduction to Kate's content? Can we also expect anything else?

There's some other small but important things, but in terms of actual content then yeah that's pretty much the gist of it.
I am anxious and curious for the upcoming update. Hoping for some kind of SIMP/NTR content.

You'll be locked by whatever stage end story event you do first, so if you did the virtue one then you are good. You can do the vice events safely. For Sadie, I'm not sure yet. It might end up being tied to Harley's path, but she's going to be a very minor character either way.

Hey, on a somewhat related note, I remember you saying sharing would be related more so with Vice, but would it be possible to also add some content for the Love route? maybe in the current "extra content" format, I'm not sure, I'm following the Love route, locked it with everyone, but I also do enjoy the sharing portions......
Of course, if it disrupts your vision for the story you can ignore this lol
I added virtue sharing to Evelyn, so I'll probably do the same with others. Depends how things go.

I think the game's mechanics and menus/UI are already in place and finished after the combat system has been included.
Now it's a matter of advancing the story, let's hope MakinWaves has already overcome the most challenging aspect of development.

Don't let the story bog down. You could advance the story as fast as you can and use AI placeholders to get it done, and later return and change the AI with original artwork for an easier time completing the game?

when it comes to non lewd scenes I agree they have yet to sell me on lewd scenes tho other than cumshots
I'd take basic non-AI animations that we get over AI ones any day. AI animations have the characters faces change constantly it never looks right, plus its just generally inconsistent. Maybe for super basic things but any character animations it tends to lean into uncanny valley.
There's not much point spending time making stuff I'll replace.
