The animation when stretchalot went down was long, so I am surprised Fred actually went to the bottom, then an old man climbing that rope back up seems rather ridiculous. With that much upper arm strength he could have dealt with the monsters himself. Thanks for the feedback. I'm making a completely unrelated fix at the moment, so I'll address these as well if I can.
F4 should make the game windowed.
I'll turn down the Victory and Entering Combat sounds.
Old Fred used the rope to get out, I suppose. Or maybe Stretchalot carried him. Never really thought about it to be honest haha.
The hop with Ingrid? I'm guessing you're referring to the busts? Yeh, that's just because they weren't drawn all the way. It sort of has to be this way to save space on the bust sheets.
No numbers during the boss fight doesn't seem right. I'll look into that. Not sure why it crashed either, but I'll see what I can find out.
Sorry that you had to play through it again after the rat boss crashed for you. There is actually a way to speed up the game. You can press "U" on your keyboard and the game will run at 5x speed, and then pressing "Y" will revert things back to normal speed. You can also hold Page Down with or without speed up to speed up dialogue even more.
I use this on my end for playtesting. It can cause some issues, such as trying to speed through the start of the epilogue where the Logo shows and music plays. You can speed right past into the cutscene and the music has to play itself out. Speeding up shouldn't cause any crashes though. I'll probably add a note somewhere in game that this feature is available. The only issue with it now is that whenever there are choices to be made, it doesn't go back to 1x speed automatically. That's what I didn't tell everyone about that in-game. I'm going to try and edit that code so it works better though.
Going to look into skippable cutscences in the next game to make it even better, but we'll see.
Did the NW.JS file throw up an error or something?
Again, thanks for the feedback.
- Apple.
I tried the normal Alt+Enter for windowing, but since it is an RPG Maker game maybe just throw it in options?
Yeah with the busts. I get you wanted it animated, but I think that is the only real animation of the busts? So it was weird especially since she wasn't drawn below.
The numbers would show up in the bar up top, but the numbers that normally appear on the monster when you hit them didn't show. The crash happened once, I am not sure why but I did reload a save before the fight and the rest of the game went fine. Might be the old problem of RPGM games and their hate of pushing movement right after a transition.
Ah, I was playing using a controller. So was trying to figure the buttons on there to speed it up except holding down the continue button.
Being this game is relatively small, you could have a set of auto saves before and after the choices and happenings to allow easy getting back to where they were.
Yeah, about half the RPGM games I play throw the error saying I have newer than the game. Normally the newer the file the more stable and fast a game runs as I have seen.
You are welcome.
