I actually got a chance to play some of this last night while waiting for animations to render and I gotta say, I'm impressed.

The story is loose but well written. Some of the dialogue was punchy. The renders were on par with most of what I've seen and played. I'm only a short way into it but I like what I've seen. The Dev does a good job with pacing too. Nice mix of fast girls and slow romances. MC isn't a total dick bag, or least, not with the choices I've made so far.

I'll finish playing this version of the next couple of nights and come back and give it a rating. See no reason it shouldn't be a 4 or 5 unless the story takes a nose dive, which I'm suspecting it won't.

It reminds me of our first attempt, which is to say that at this rate, the dev can only get grow and get better and better. Definitely one of my new favs.

In my opinion, it only gets better. Liza is really sweet, and the Island Adventure and Opera scenes with Mom are really nice.

I must be dumb or the incest patch has a bug on Linux.

First at all: The game starts perfect without the patch or control code... as soon as I try to use the command code I get an error message "IOError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/home/MY_USER/.renpy/persistent/perverteer.new'". The game continues without the incest patch.

Second attempt by copying the "incest_patch.rpyc" into the game folder, results in a crash (see traceback.text).

This is the first time I play the game, so there are no old save files... Anyone an idea or solution for this error?

I'm not sure what you are trying to do there.
If you already used the patch, then there's no need to use the command. Or if you prefer to use the command, then you don't need that patch. There is "OR" between these instructions in the OP, not AND.
And once the taboo mode is set, then it's permanent for this and any future versions of the game, unless you delete renpy directory (in Linux it's ~/.renpy)

The patch is Ren'Py script and therefore universal, OS-agnostic. Should work the same way for Windows, Linux and Mac.

I heard that if you install two different antivirus software to your PC then your protection power will be doubled, so maybe he's following the same logic, double nicest power. BTW I'm gonna install three different antivirus softwares (Kaspersky, Norton, Eset) to my PC to become invincible. :FeelsGoodMan:

Sorry I did not make myself clear enough (not a native speaker )...
Using the command was my first choice to activate the patch. By doing so, I get the error message "IOError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/home/MY_USER/.renpy/persistent/perverteer.new" (deleting the game and unzipped it again)

(fresh unzipped game) Trying the .rpyc file, instead of the command, resulting in error to be seen in the traceback.text.

I hope in this way it is more understandable.

Could you open terminal and check that you have correct permissions there? You can copy the command line from here, so you won't make any typos there.

Incest patched enabled by commend starting SL as Root!:
.renpy in my directory needed root privileges! So I had to run SL as root form the Terminal!

It looks like the first Ren'Py game you ever started there, you started it as root. Now the ~/.renpy directory it created belongs to root and your user has no rights to write anything into it. For Ren'Py games without persistent data this is fine, just one of the save files fails to write, but the other one inside the game directory is working fine. The only problem you may have is that game saves won't be automatically available for the new versions of the games you have played.

This game however has its incest switch created as persistent data and now you're stuck :winkytongue:

copy this command from here:

sudo chown -R artcore:artcore ~/.renpy

Sudo will ask your password to run the command as root. In terminal you have to type it in "blindly" - there won't be any response before you press Enter.

Then check permissions again. Now the owner and group instead of "root root" should be "artcore artcore". Now you should be able to run it without any problems.
(I assume that you have sudo installed and have no problems with it)

Please don't run games or patches in root mode in the future, or you'll be asking for trouble. :evilsmile:

Don't run anything as root, except system maintenance.
PS, Debian comes without configured sudo. It's installed by default, but you have to set it up by yourself.
