What's the cut-off for abandoned? There's plenty of games updated once or twice per year that don't have said tag.

So, I understand the creator is feeling burnt out? I just played through v0.10.0 for the first time and enjoyed it quite a bit.
In light of the circumstances I think you might be making your writing a bit too difficult on yourself. I can feel the intensity of your desire to depict what you envision exactly as you imagine it, but that level of detail is often unnecessary. Your writing style is genuinely refreshing; but as a gentle reminder, I think most of us are ultimately here for the character interactions and smut.
As an example, having essentially multiple pages of text dedicated to the minutia of cooking is not useful in building the story and seems needlessly burdensome on you the author. Another might be the level of detail that went into describing how the brother contacted training specialists, their conversations, the scheduling, etc. (this kills the flow and also my boner). Unless you believe those things will play some key role later on it's fine to handwave and make it as brief as possible.
As far as how to progress, I suggest starting by first establishing what ending scenario/scenarios you want to see, then do a rough outline of how you want to get there. What kind of kinky stuff do really want to depict, the kind that made you want to write in the first place, what conflicts, etc.. If you have an end in mind you can just plug and play those things, then the only challenge is filling in the blanks in between the events so that they reasonably flow. As a reader I could care less how that happens, I just want the juice.
Sorry, I'm not sure if any of this rambling has been useful at all. To close, just want to say I love your work and hope you keep at it. In spite of any misgivings you freaking nail the intimacy scenes and general eroticism, it's fantastic.

Author is a king, has a full life going on. Works on this cool story sometimes and shares it with us. There's no schedule or anything. All we have to do is wait and hope we get an update.
I was specifically referring to the things outside of character interactions and smut. Of course I love the detailed sex scenes, who doesn't?
This is an uncharacterisic idle from the dev. Last year they appeared in February like they did this year, then went afk until august where they pushed through last update. It's been august this year, almost not september either with no signs of life.
That said the last sign of life i've seen from them was in April where they said they're burned out from 70 hour work weeks.
