Just a suggestion. Could it be that you extracted the game and moved the files to a different folder missing the required folders ? "game" "lib" "renpy".

Usually games are in folders when you extract them but this one wasn't. So I made a new folder but forgot moving all the files in it.

But it ended up having to do with something on the laptop I was using to try to play the game on, cause when I decided to try downloading the game on another laptop I have after considering that the problem just might be coming from the current laptop I was on, it ended up somehow working just fine..
So, as for the exact issue that was causing the problem I was experiencing with not even being able to get game to start up, I still have no idea...
