Yeah NSFW mods may already technically nukable per TOS iirc and selling mods is absolutely a violation. Unfortunately platforms like nexus and patreon are happy to protect rights modders don't actually have since they get to skim so much off the top. so the issue is that the only way to push back against those big platforms would require Bethesda to take action and that doesn't end well for any of us. Paywalling is moronic though so I will always fight back against it. Legal stuff aside I believe most Skyrim modders would actually make more money with free content if they still took donations, commissions, and actually bothered making video content for their own mods instead of leaving it to lazy modding YouTubers who don't even provide links. Like sure do a patron early access for a few weeks, maybe a month. I dont think you can claim your mods are early access when it's been 4 years since your last public releaseQuick question does anyone know a nuke proof file host that wont immediately capitulate to a takedown request from a paywalling Modder who ironically is already breaking Bethesda's own TOS, since last i checked Modders do not have copyright to A. The Creation Kit/Engine B. The ESL/ESP/ESM Format C. 99.99 percent of the free use tools provided by the community or propriety tools provided by Bethesda from which all mods flow and simply wouldn't exist without, the blatant irony of how disgusting this cottage industry of theft has become where only the end user is expected to play by the rules is utter bullshit that Bethesda needs to crackdown on.
thanks! btw anyone has change log? it seems they rae the same animations with 6.50You must be registered to see the links

Um citation? What Eula do you think you're breaking? Patreon? I'm not using the platform so they have no say. Maybe if you had to hack them but just obtaining a file and sharing it isnt something they can take action against. The creator may have some rights to their illegal content but that could only possibly come into play if you're trying to sell it. They have no footing to stand on if you're using it personally and not seeking commerical gain. Bethesda can't go after you either, you just have the files, you didn't break their tos by selling mods, in fact you didn't have to accept the terms at all just to use it.Things are a bit more complicated. Paywalling ESX plugins breaks Bethesda EULA/TOS indeed but in the same time if some person pirates content (like meshes, textures, animations, etc. alongside with ESX) - this is another EULA/TOS break and it is unrelated to the initial EULA/TOS break. You can't turn two negatives into one positive in law and all this stuff.
The EULA (End User Licensing Agreement) that every user must AGREE to before theUm citation? What Eula do you think you're breaking?
correct, that is why patreon paywalling is a violation, that does not answer why the other guy thinks its illegal to pirate such mods which can be done without ever accepting the license. The EULA (End User Licensing Agreement) that every user must AGREE to before theYou must be registered to see the linkswill install, states the following under section 1 D (orange text emphasis mine)
D. No Fees for Use. In exchange for the Editor being provided to you free of charge, You agree that You will not charge or require, directly or indirectly, a fee or other consideration for others to download, install or use Your Game Mods, including without limitation selling, licensing or other commercial distribution or commercial exploitation (e.g., by renting, licensing, sublicensing, leasing, disseminating, uploading, downloading, transmitting, whether on a pay-per-play basis or otherwise) of any Game Mods without the express prior written consent of an authorized representative of ZeniMax. This includes distributing a Game Mods as part of any compilation You and/or other users may create. You further agree not to charge, accept or solicit, directly or indirectly, fees or non-monetary contributions for developing or creating Game Mods, including without limitation fees collected through "crowd funding." However, the foregoing limitations in this Section shall not apply if and to the extent such agreement violates applicable law. You further agree that You are only permitted to distribute the Game Mods to users who have purchased the Product through authorized and legitimate distribution channels, solely for use with such users’ own authorized copies of such Product and in accordance with and subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement and all applicable laws.
Patreon's terms of use are not relevant to this discussion. The agreement is between the mod author (presumably the person who installed the Creation Kit) and Zenimax, parent of Bethesda Softworks. These restrictions ensure that Zenimax and its subsidiaries (e.g. Bethesda Softworks, Bethesda Game Studios) can use, license and sell mods made by people who use the Creation Kit which is made freely available to all users. Anyone charging money for game mods on Patreon or any other service without written consent from Zenimax is potentially violating the EULA for the Creation Kit.
Because they contain resources that are clearly not made in Creation Kit, this means they are out of Creation Kit EULA. Any meshes, textures, animations, DLL mods can be paywalled and pirating them is a real piracy. For authors this is not very different from selling their works on Sketchfab and such. We can complain only about ESX plugins but they are the least we care about here, don't we?why the other guy thinks its illegal to pirate such mods
Not any. Some authors take other people's work from other games, port it to Skyrim, and lock it behind a paywall (Kirax, Lilyrim, SavrenX.... are the first ones I remember). Yeah, it's not Bethesda's problem, but it's still a violation by these greedy moddersAny meshes, textures, animations, DLL mods can be paywalled and pirating them is a real piracy.
They dont have any rights to begin with, stop gaslighting us u mental midget.2. We violate authors rights when we share paid assets.
So? Does that lessen their guilt or what? These costumes were made for specific games (and btw, many companies forbid porting their assets to other games), not for some random prick to make money off of themThis "others people's work" are being locked behind paywall too. Purchase game and get armor.
