Fuck this is sad, I did enjoy the game but I am seeing too many red flags.
My only hope is that I believe this was made by a group of friends, maybe the owner can't continue and they are just changing who owns the Patreon... But yeah it sounds very unlikely.

No the dev himself said he took the patreon down because he was working on the game. It seems like the game was made by a group of people because he says "we" but in the server, he's the only dev and seems to be only one working on it. Whatever the case, it's not looking very hopeful.
