I like how there's zero lewds in the preview images but the developer name just makes it sus af.

Yea I had this for the GB way back when. (Also FF Legends 1, 2, & 3)For everyone who is a bit confused, while it does look a bit like Link's Awakening, it's actually copying a lesser known title called "Final Fantasy Adventure", which was also for the Gameboy, but it was quite rare. I actually had a friend who owned this back in High School, so I got to play it then, and it was a pretty amazing game. I believe it got a complete remake a couple years back, in full color with new sprites, along with the Secret of Mana series.
If you like those old school games, it's definitely worth a play, although I'm not sure if the remakes stand upto it's legacy, as remakes these days tend to make crap stupidly easier, and this was by no means an easy game. A screenshot from FFA:

I also had all 3 of FF Legends games, but they were stolen from me in High School. I've always been a bit naive and loaned a kid my GB, because I thought they were a friend. Ended up being a whole issue where the school had to get both families involved and I still never got all my stuff back.
I was planning on playing the game tonight, but my BetterJoyForCemu isn't registering my virtual XBOX 360 Controller, essentially making my $80 Pro Controller a worthless piece of shit (thanks for the great games Nintendo, but your absolute garbage at hardware). I'm hoping a quick reboot will fix this, because otherwise I can't update the drivers on a controller my PC refuses to acknowledge the existence of.
I'm usually a sucker for the detailed dot pixel approach to hrpgs, but too bad I couldn't seem to launch the game. Had a message about missing DLLs but after copying the files into the directory, it still ends with an error.

However, Slave Princess Sarah automatically detects ALL controllers at the same time, so I can't play the game, unless I use the keyboard, which is kind of boring for this style of game. I hope this gets an update or something, because I don't know why a single player eroge game would need to access multiple controllers at once. I also don't understand why you wouldn't be able to delete inputs. That's so stupid.
Ignore my bitching and frustration. Turns out the game does have input cancels, but my controller was spazzing so fast, that I wasn't actually selecting them properly. Simply select "None" under the input change pop up screen. Also, for anyone with similar controller issues, I found that adding the game fixed my issues. Steam's "Big Picture Mode" allows stuff like the Switch Pro Controller to work fine.
So I added Slave Princess Sarah as a "Non-Steam Game", then played it through Big Picture Mode, where I was able to disable all the inputs on my spazzing controller, and now I'm free to play the game normally without Steam, using my virtual controller, because everything saves from the same folder. Time to see what this game has!

That aside ya the guys who made this clearly got bit hard and repeatedly by the nostalgia bug and there's nothing wrong with that.

It got another remake, called Adventures of Mana that's in full 3D (but is a mobile title) just a few years back (2016 IIRC).

So, as far as I can tell, the game is already patched to enable the adult scenes and what not, but it does seem to be censored. At least, in the scenes I've seen so far, there are mosaics. There's an image that came with game instructing on how to install the patch through overwriting the Resources folder with the patched version, but there's only one Resources folder, so I'm guessing it's already been done?
Right now, the only problem I seem to have with the game is that when I first returned to the orc's home after getting to the mountain cavern, I had two options available to me in the prison cell with Mana: "Damage Cut Scene" and "Adult Content". For whatever reason, now whenever I try to activate the crystal, it only gives me the damage option, but it automatically defaults it to the 'OFF' position, and I get no option to change the adult content. (And so far, the only difference I've noticed is that when Sarah dies with adult content on, her panties are torn off; with adult mode off, her panties stay on, but she's still sullied.)
I think it's okay so far—I've only gotten to the mountain cavern as of yet—but if the most sought-after feature is going to break minutes into the game, it's no better than a "no sexual content" game... and there are plenty of better top-down adventure games I could be playing other than just this.
EDIT: Never mind. I didn't notice that when I was trying to set the option to allow adult content, it so very briefly flashes "MUST RESET TO RETOGGLE."

Not sure what I need to do to fix this, I get an error popping up when I try to play this. "The code execution cannot proceed because MSVCP120.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem" Then it also lists MSVCR120.dll in the same message. Any help out there would be appreciated.
