Tried this. Here is my feedback:

Positive
Uuuuhh... I like the setting of rome and slaves and such (altho it might turn out to be a bit limited for my tastes)

Negative
1. Lighting is horrible. In the dungeon thing you can barely see anything, its not that hard to bake a halfway useable lightmap, what the hell are these guys doing.
2. The characters look quite lame. Like they just did them with some human-character-creator thingy. And in combination with the bad lighting pointed out in 1 they even look terrifying.
3. The whole area is basically just an asset pack from the UE4 marketplace - did they actually do any of the content themselves?
4. Sex animation quality is below average. There is a lot of work that they need to put into this still so id like to see some behid-the-scenes of their animation work.
5. What everyone above said about the patreon tier reward design.

Every single word you said is true. Every single one.

BUT - they've started in July. that's 3 months of development as of today.. aside from the Patreon tiers, that I agree might be a bit too extreme for their offerings - the development side is 3 months in. I don't think any developer would've given you God of War (sex-game TM don't touch my idea :p ) type of game.

To be honest, I know why people are becoming Patreons (and why I became one), but I would also get why someone would wait for a final release and just buy or not buy the game according to his likeness.. which is not what Patreon is about.. you can't expect a finished game, and I think the road map they've released is really fair, and they really try to keep by it, as it seems so far..
So, aside from the tiers themselves, which I hope would be updated (not sure if possible?) - I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt for now.

you can't expect a finished game.
excuse me, but when i see a devs team pretending to build the next "indie-AAA" game. i m in all right to expect a finished game.
once you pretend to be at this level, they are NO benefit of doubt. you NEED to finish the game and doing as you planned.
its not an amateur renpy/rpgm or anything game, its an way higher level.

now the devs need to reach final destination, they are no turn back. they took a very high risk to pretending at this level.

we'll see if they reach it... or if they sink before. but for sure, if they sink before reaching it.. its game over for them. thy wont have any other second chance for sure.

when you jump on this competition of level, you dont jump hoping for luck. its real business. no less.

Well they wouldnt be running a patreon if they had the finished game. Thats the whole point of such a thing.

But I do agree that there is a bit of a discrepancy with the way this project is looking like right now and what the devs are claiming. Because all I see is a bunch of assets from the shops and a minimum level of content for which an actually dedicated team that knows what they are doing wouldnt need more than one month to scrape into something like this.
So im a bit worried that they wont be able to gets this lifted off the ground thats all. But maybe my fears are disproven, or they never even planned to do so:
They started their page at the end of June and according to their schedule they already had 1 month prepro going by then. 4 months have passed since which according to their plan puts them mid-production. In 2 months they want to launch the Alpha release and judging from what ive seen so far in the game it is going to be mediocre at best and wont feature much more content than what is available right now.

But we will see, I dont wanna be a doomsayer, I appreciate every effort by devs to produce more realtime 3d games that arent daz vns or 2d idle games. They already got 4k per month raised with which they can afford quite a bit of manpower depending on their talent composition, time constraints and ability to get good people on board. So I wish them godspeed and may they succeed with whatever their goals are.

well i mean an finished product in the sens of go all through the devlopement. and not stop it or drop mid way for doing another project or something.
its kind of a new devlopment style these few years... starting something, then switching into another thing.
it sound ok for small devs and amateur ( like me ), but for a team like them with what they pretend wanted to reach, its a no way...
kind of like if CD Red Project start devloping Witcher 4, and then suddently anounce that they give up for devloping the next Elder scroll with Bethesda.. kind of messed up and unforgivable move.

as a supposed "indie-AAA" game, they cant give up just like that.

Come on guys. 60-70% of porn games are just elaborate scams to drain money from people with patreon, some make more money dedicating to little updates on the same game over an extremely long period of time, others just get started and when they got enough cash, they abandon and create a new project. All is finalized to milk money, not to create a real product. And this will be no exception.

But this is just too extreme. Click there: oh you have to pay on patreon, click somewhere else: ah ah boi only if you pay on patreon!

If you are ok with that, be my guest but i'm not and there are enough games out there which don't try to milk you like a cow.

What do you think they mean by "AAA"? :) Isn't AAA synonymous with "milk audience for chash through any means necessary" these days? (Looking @ you Acti-Blizzard-Ubi-EA-Bethesda-whatever-vision).

They're still indie.. they're striving towards AAA, but it doesn't mean they have the resources of Blizzard or whatever.. it makes perfect sense that they have a patreon page, and they're asking for the community's help to develop this game.
This is the whole point of crowd-funding..

I don't get the feeling that they're gonna give up mid-way, also - I'm not entirely sure why you would think that. They're constantly updating, and adding new features.. I think it's a little unfair to just say 'those guys gave up', when they obviously haven't..

And one more thing - I'm not sure what those guys have done before, and this might actually be their first game ever to release - so I'm kind of excited to see what they're up to and what they'll be capable of doing. Even if it means this game won't be as perfect as if Square Enix would have done it, but I really think indie-developers nowdays have a LOT to offer and to show.

Man, are you serious? This sort of demo, supported with bad power point slides on patreon, striving to be an AAA game? x'Dx'Dx'D
I also think small developers and even single persons can do great things, but this will not be the case, trust me. This clearly stinks of cashgrab. Anyway, only time will tell us, as usual.

new version out, can someone get it and update the thread :)
ask the dev.. he stated before that they will gladly share the game with who cant pay for it.

( no joke, look beginning few pages of this thread , when he finally decide to speak normally instead of old roman'ish style )
