I'll be honest, I do support Slayed's work & I believe there's potential there to be refined. However he never struck me as someone who really focuses on refinement or QC (Quality Control), rather he seems more interested in showing all the different things he can do in his style. That's not inherently bad, but eventually everyone's gonna notice while there may be a lot happening, it's not concise or very appealing. That's just my view on it though, I see a lack of ambition & desire to actually try to put out escalating quality with every drop.
And this is the kind of discourse that I like! In my first comment about this animation I said almost the same thing, I'll quote myself saying 'he's made this as a showcase of "Guys look at all the stuff I can do!"' Which is cool and all, it's great that so many things are possible solely within the confines of Blender and some editing software, but it's a shame that he seems so opposed to any form of criticism, constructive or otherwise, and that his focus seems to lie solely on that showcasing of abilities rather than a genuine drive to improve the quality of his content. I think the concept of this animation is actually very good, I just also think that the result falls short of the hype.
It feels to me like he needs to reprioritize. He crammed so much into this animation that he hasn't done before, a different style of animating, overlays, etc. that he's hit the 'you spent so much time wondering if you could, you didn't stop to think about if you should' and it had a negative impact on the quality of this animation.
