Well, waiting for news, here's another of my favorite short-story (we could call it "prophetic", somehow...) :p

Maybe he'll come back next year... So far, he hasn't given any signs of life, no comments or anything. He started his "break" on March 15th, and to date it's been 6 months and 15 days. Now, counting September, it'll be 7 months and 15 days. Either he's working hard finishing or drawing comics, or something happened to him. Considering Sleepy has been working since 2013 with few breaks, it's understandable why he's taking a sabbatical.

What to say, Greviusdartan? Once I wrote that I suspect there's something strictly personal in this pause of SG. It could be a disease, an accident, a family problem...in any case, something very serious in his private life. Otherwise there's no reason that an author stops his work while he's at the top of popularity, losing a lot of money and letting several works unfinished.

My best hope is that he will at least complete the current stories left in stand by, in order to close the circle of the whole Crystal Height saga. Whether it will not be so, I (we) will have to accept things as they are, knowing that SG had important reason for quit so suddenly - even when those reasons are unknown to us.

Many people I've talked to are inclined to believe that a whole group of people worked behind the nickname "SleepyGimp".
Based on this opinion, how able-bodied the author has been for the last year or two.
They're betting that this team of people has broken up.

If it was a team that has disbanded, it seems strange to me that in these six months no solo works by individual members have appeared.

It is not necessary that the whole team was a group of authors and artists.
just for example, there could be people on the payroll who helped Sleepy with some moments in drawing.

You don't take this theory critically - it's just a theory of people.
Maybe he really was the only one working there all these years, and his health was exhausted.

Hello everyone!
This time I'll be as straightforward as possible:
There is no second meaning/malice in the hiatus. Sleepy, regardless of whether it is one person or an organized group, had the right to be tried.
Let's wait.... till the end of September.

It seems safe to believe that it's just burnout and needing a long break. I've burnt out on arduous jobs and, on the other side of the spectrum, I burnt out on World of Warcraft while in an amazing guild. Doing any focus-intensive thing too often will tend to make many peoples' brain say "You've gotta move on to something else." It's probably an ancient mechanism that encouraged our ancestors to develop a breadth of skills, rather than be overspecialized.
