For the size of the project, that's still some good ass time for an independent animator who also does all the editing themselves.

Noone has been expecting a release in a week because everyone knows Slip is a literal slippery bastard that has been milking this whole thing on bs like "i feel a little depressed" and such. Meanwhile people on iwara do posts like "my mother died" and start uploading a week later. The real problem is people still supporting him no matter how arrogant he gets towards his own funding crew.

No yeah he's definitely milking it. Anyone who can't see that is drinking the kool-aid. Dude legit went on hiatus but kept Patreon billing active lol. But we try not to bring it up, don't want the guy scrapping everything before release because we said something to upset him.

Speak for yourself. I've been funneling him money for over a year when the animations were flowing in, these were good times and I felt like I was supporting a valuable cause. Then the hiatus/milking seaon came - I cut him off, and I wish everyone else did as well, I expect animations, not twitter blog posts for my money.

Your support on Patreon is not a guarantee of content, that is a false idea you have. They promise you early access to their works and various other benefits but never that they will produce x content on a regular basis, especially if working on a larger animation that is pushing iirc 40+ minutes, and consider parts 1-4 COMBINED don't even break 30 minutes, and the quality has improved significantly, I say give the man a fucking break, and stop acting entitled.
Man you guys really like to complain about the dumbest shit. The project is huge and it was already looking that way when he was showing how it wasn't gonna be like previous parts and was gonna include multiple scenes with different characters and different scenarios, as a story would go. Slip has literally posted every month on his progression since he started part 5 and with the exception of march 2021 and both november and december of 2022 he's constantly kept everyone in the loop about what was going on and his progress. To act like hes being scummy and milking this project is insane to me.
I get the frustration of wanting to see actually finished content because he's basically been drip feeding his followers what he can on the side while he focused on the biggest project he'll probably ever do in his life. Still you should give the guy some slack, it's not like hes sitting around on his ass all day and just doing nothing. He's literally at the finish line working on sounds and such so just chill out and wait for a bit. If you wanna look at someone milking their stuff you could be looking at zone-tan who has done fuck all for the longest while. Dropped that Ankha shit in 2021, the chel animation in 2017, and since then has basically just done zone-tan doodles and vr chat. There are far worst artists and projects out there doing far less. I'm already prepared for him to immediately take like a month or two off after part 5 drops because I wouldn't blame him, it took him like 4 years to do it and he probably needs an actual break to reset.
