Edit: I've tested translating Hentai Quest 1.02 with SLR v1.123 using the full standard procedure, and I did not encounter a single issue, not even a single error code.
Making no manual edits at all I also exported and applied the resulting translation, and the game ran fine.

Hi, i try to use the translator to this game RPGM - [Translation Request] HENTAI QUEST ~The Female Hero & Her Good For Nothing Party~ | F95zone , but this error keep happened, i also try to delete any Japanese character on the folder but it doesn't work too.
Weird...
I have no clue why it puts a \\ in there.

Although that was a long time ago.
That game is in my list of abandoned projects nobody really cared about:

we often use Sugoi to translate from Japanese to English.
So, do you know any tool similar to Sugoi but for translating from English to Japanese/Chinese?

Hi guys
Anybody here know to translate this kind of game ?
It is rpg maker mv but the icon is mz
It has more than 1 language in a game
And when I open it with SLR,all text is encrypted to REM_MAP, REM_PLG,... like this
Even Mtool or Textractor can't hook the text

I've released v1.123.
Fixed a rare, but when it occurred, severe bug, that caused some commands not to be escaped properly.

Hi guys
Anybody here have a custom RPGmaker MV/MZ parser that only take Dialogue and Choices from game ?
Like RPGMaker Event
Even I blacklist all tags but translating a few games with default parser still get errors

I'm sorry but I have no no idea what's happening on your end.

I've re-downloaded it from the Krakenfiles mirror to test it.

And extraction worked for me without problems.

I've tested it on Arch Linux because I'm not home right now, but I don't see why extraction would fail on Windows considering I created it on a Windows machine.

Edit: Maybe you just need to update your 7zip to the latest version.

followed the tutorial to a tee but every time I get to the end I see that nothing is translated, I noticed that whenever I get to the blue batch translation part I seem to get a lot of error messages relating to cache limits and with the complier telling me repeatedly thats its failing to translate large chucks of text. I'm not that computer savvy so if anyone could explain what the issue is here that would be cool

Please tell me the game you are trying to translate and give me screenshots of those errors.

When I started working on the SLR project the MTL options were really bad and there was even a short moment in time in which my Sugoi/dictionary hybrid was arguably the best option out there.

Now "AI" has evolved to the point that this project feels very outdated.
But I cannot really add support for more modern models because I neither have the necessary hardware, nor the funds to get that hardware. I can barely pay my bills.
Technically someone could provide me a remote server for testing to outsource the processing, but I just do not think that's worth it. Considering this is just for RPG Maker games this project is probably not for someone with a high end gaming rig anyway.

I still think SLR has a reason to exist because not everyone has a high end rig capable of running large models, and so SLR Translator is still the only free, as open source as possible, offline alternative for someone to get something "decent enough" to be able to finish a game without knowing Japanese, but I do not think I will develop it further besides fixing bugs/crashes reported to me. (And please do actually report them to me.)

I had plans to rework Scripts parsing for VX/Ace to make proper automation for it, as well as implementing automatic font changes and other QOL stuff, and at some point before my GPU died I was even working on an OCR system to automate the translation of picture based text, but given the hardware constraints and the complete lack of funding, these changes would ultimately just be a lot of unpaid work for incremental improvements to a project, that already gave up on being "good".

But if someone else has any ambitions for this project or finds parts of it useful, you can obviously change and redistribute any part of SLR however you like as long as you keep it open source. (GPLv3 license and all that.)

One thing I couldn't even do in Translator ++ was show the story's dialogues. Maybe because it's a very big game?

For what it's worth, Mingshiba is updating his sugoi offline translator so it can tie into local LLM's.
I think that alone gives this thing legs. Right now you might need a high end gaming rig, But I don't think that will be true in a year or two. Much respect for maintaining this during chaotic times of big change- right now it's a great tool with one outdated piece that needs a lot of hardware to fix, but in a little while that hardware requirement may shrink to almost nothing.
