Never listen to people complaining about blackmail because it's not realistic, we would never have seen dragons in fantasy books because dragons does'nt exist. And i love dragon stories. It's all about FICTION, and i can't understand this argument during so fckin long.
Dragons only appear in "fantasy" stories, but yeah, the game should include some lewd stuff with dragons at some point... perhaps even with sharks... there's the "bestiality" tag after all... :KEK:

But the complain about blackmail not being realistic enough, is like complaining that Doom Guy didn't die to the first pistol shot fired by the first zombieman in E1M1, because it would be more realistic if he bled out.
Apples and oranges, literally. Doom is a highly supernatural scifi setting in which the MC is a soldier who is literally in the game/story to fight with zombies and demonic creatures AND he has armor, he only starts to bleed out when he runs out of armor. We don't need to question why this guy is in there, or why there are demonic creatures in the game, cause the setting isn't realistic in any possible way. Whereas your story seems to take place in today's world with high-schools, witness protection programs etc. which we all are relatively familiar with.

Blackmail has already been covered in hundreds of movies and books before, you don't have to reinvent the wheel. Instead of a random jerk in an high-school, which is highly implausible character as a blackmailer, it could be a corrupt government official with some local associates etc. who abuse and exploit the people in witness protection. That would make a lot more plausible story, the likes of which has been covered many many times in B-movies and such. No one would question the possibility of corrupt cops or govt. officials because we've all heard about it many times before IRL.

I don't intend to put Bad Ends in my game, so reporting the blackmailer and admitting to having your cover blown will not be an option (cause that wojld be the end of the game).
Reporting the blackmail to the gov. official is exactly what any sensible person would do in a situation like this, but you can't allow people to do that because you've literally dug a hole for yourself by relying on an implausible story and now you desperately try to block the obvious escape route. I've seen similar examples of this in a few other games. For instance, "If you want to see porn, you have to go along with this stupid story" says one literally when a highly skilled agent refuses "the mission" to become a prostitute, or in another one if you don't give in the blackmailer's initial demands, the story abruptly ends with a "happy ending". All a result of improbable situations in their flawed stories. Yeah, perhaps we could go along with yet another stupid story for the sake of porn, 99% of the games/VNs on F95 are utterly moronic anyway, it's just some small minority of us occasionally wants to see something slightly more intelligent than those, I guess.

I like implausible blackmail stories because they are obviously implausible, which lets me play the game guilt free. Plausible blackmail and manipulation would bring uncomfortable memories and stories from real life which would instantly put me off and make me delete the game. I like these games as pornographic material, but as soon as the plot becomes too close to real life I start thinking that this can actually be happening to a woman somewhere and that's highly uncomfortable.

That's actually a really good argument, and something I'd never personally thought about. I can absolutely see where you're coming from though, and I'm actually kinda keen to agree with you on that front as well. Looking back though, the few good BM games I've played have really always been porny in terms of narrative, which in hindsight has probably been the reason I could enjoy them in the first place. A little realism is nice and all, but like many other good things it's all about moderation, and I reckon you feel similar about this in the same way I do about rape in games. As a past victim, if it gets too 'real' as you put it, I absolutely shut the game down then and there as well. At the end of the day, most of us are here to have fun in safe and moderated ways, where no-one gets hurt in the process and everyone is having fun. It's true that some people do enjoy much darker and harder stuff, but a general rule of thumb is that when you're playing a game, most people are doing it to have fun.

Well, I personally don't like anything that is too dark, misogynistic or sadistic, no matter how implausible it is. The real question you should be asking is why do people even need stupid plot devices such as blackmail, hypnosis, drugs etc. in a porn game. Why can't the protagonist be someone with a slutty, promiscuous personality, who just loves having sex? Why does she have to go through some horrifying experiences to become that? The answer to this is question is what really concerns me.

It's a different plot; some people like horror movies, others action movies and one could also ask "Why do you need so much blood and gore and shock elements when you could just write an action movie?". I never understood the appeal of horror movies, but I'm sure people who like them wouldn't want them to be action movies.

I enjoy sex scenes much more when the female mc is not into what happens to her. The premise "Both want it and like it" is what you aim for in real life, but a porn game shouldn't be about real life, it should be about sexual desires and fantasies. And fantasies are usually not realistic, not legal or both.

It's like with many fictional stories: you can enjoy them but you don't want them to become reality. Zombie survival games are also fun, but that doesn't mean I want humankind to be wiped out by a zombie virus.

I also don't like anything that is too dark, etc, but that's a mere truism. If I liked it, then by definition it wouldn't be too dark.

Games with "with a slutty, promiscuous personality, who just loves having sex" exist in abundance. Play Tamara's Exposure, for instance. The character there gets naked in public, gets caught, has sex with the person who caught her, goes home, and does it again next day. It seems to be reasonably popular, but I was bored by episode three.

I agree with Tennessee Williams that "the only thing worth writing about is the human heart in conflict with itself." I like characters who face some sort of adversity and war within themselves as to how to respond. In FMC games, that often comes in the form of "how far am I willing to give up self-respect to accomplish my goal" or "can I stand myself if I acknowledge that I like it," or similar themes. These are always internal dialogues, which are the best dialogues if they are done right.

A game needs a trigger to get the MC to a point where they can't stay in their comfortable original world, but must change. Often, this will be adversity in the form of blackmail, hypnosis, etc, because they are easily set up and easily understood, even if cliched. Porn novels use the same mechanisms, by and large, but can also take the time to set up a scenario involving sudden poverty which games seldom use because it takes so much buildup.

Long story short, blackmail and the like can quickly set up the internal conflict that alone (IMO) makes any writing worth reading, games or not.

I find the idea of protagonist who's just slutty and promiscuous to be exceedingly boring, personally. That's the very essence of vanilla. You can certainly craft a decent game around that idea, putting the protagonist in conflict with others and having her use her sexuality pro-actively, but you'll never get me to play it.

What I like is games like this, or even edgier, with kidnapping, bondage, rape, D&s, and a healthy amount of humiliation. My fantasies revolve an awful lot around not being in control, you see, but that's not how I live IRL. That's what's so great about fantasies in fiction: we can explore and enjoy these darker parts of our nature safely and then be straight back in our real lives with our families and jobs.

And no, these sorts of games are not "misogynistic." If you think that, you really have never looked into romance novels, which are predominantly marketed to women, especially the so-called "bodice rippers." They are full of less-than-consensual sex.

If this kind of game isn't your thing, that's fine, you don't have to be in this thread. So...leave, I guess, and stop bothering those of us who are into this kind of thing.

MassTx -> Click on the 'reset' button in the menu, it should reset the size settings.

Smol progress report:

Like I mentioned before mod support is done. It's kind of basic, but you can add and replace items, shops, random events, map points-of-interest, plot nodes and actually any function in the game (cause the whole python spiel with everything being a first class object...). Modding the css side of things is a bit tricky, it could be done, but I'm not gonna spend any time on it, at least not now.
I got some bugs blasted - error messages really should start appearing this time and that should help debbuging android problems. On the engine part of it - that's about it, there's a new function or two, 'other' shop filter, some css for a new animation but nothing spectacular.

Plotwise - I got the hardest part of the 'next day at school' done, it's quite the mess but I think I didn't make dead ends this time.

The other school event is less complicated but I hope as much fun
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
Two more NPC are done, some more still on the todo list. The biggest part still not done is the free-roaming part, but if I manage not to burn my other hand making pizza again I should have an update by the end of next week.

Very nice so far, even though it was so short (and addictive). Love the visuals and the story so far. Only one minor bug, which was that I didn't get any money back when I returned clothhes after trying them on, but I just reloaded the game and it was fine.

Only one negative thing I could think of, and that was the clothing system. There was a lot of clothes, which was AWESOME. So many options. But it's kind of mess. It's hard to find matching stuff as you find it in different stores that don't really make any sense, theme-wise. The theme for each store should be clearer and the options should make sense to that theme. Also might just add an option to preview clothes instead of buying and returning.

Anyway, fantastic job! Keep it up! Can't wait for the update.

I just tried to go out after getting the (first?) cop call and then doing homework and the dialog just stopped and I'm stuck on with the background and the menu on the left. Is this the end of the demo, or did I find some error? Its still Day 0.

I don't know why zippyshare is on the approved hosts list if it's geo-blocking half of the world.
Patch attached to this post, but I'm not sure if it will help - how did you get stuck in a shop? You got negative money after selling all clothes or you don't have an outfit you can walk out because all of it is too lewd? If it's something else - can you send a savefile?

Hi
I figured it out that although just buying clothes my slutty level was not high enough (did not think it would matter just buying as opposed to wearing) and I guess the slutty level can not be raised above 2 in this first release. Once I got that it is a great game with lots of potential and I look forward to the next release. Cheers and good luck.

Just tried the game, and it's definetely a gem. I hope there won't be any forced sex and that we'll be able to slowly turn the FP on a corruption route. The wide possibility for clothes is a big plus on that front.

Also I hope she'll have a story with more "mature" gentlemans (biology teacher, stuff like that).

Anyway, in your last post you said maybe an update this week, so I'm looking forward to it (or next week, no rush of course).

Hope we'll some more soon ! Godspeed, gamedev !
