OK, I was looking through this thread Why are people upset Is it because the other 1's taking a while, or is it because he promised an update for this version

OK, so from what I've gathered, the game was in development, shit got moved around, a portion of the dev team was moved onto a different project, and now they're back working on it. This just sounds like a normal development cycle

I can't actually speak for anybody else, but my opinion as to 'best' reason for people to be upset is because once the full game was released, instead of moving on to the sequel project that would have either been completed or at least have some playable content by now, a remake of this game has been stuck in development hell for years without so much as a playable demo. The game's creator also stepped away from the project, which rarely bodes well.

Also, no, nothing about the game's post 1.0 development cycle could possibly be considered normal. The remake is going to be using all new art assets and is being ported to a different game engine. There was talk of rendering out 3D rooms, which either sounds like a huge waste of time or that non-VN gameplay elements would be getting added.

Funnily enough, I'm only here because I saw that there was an update to the game and was wondering if it was worth downloading and replaying it. (Turns out I still had my old save, so I managed to just check out the new stuff. I wouldn't have bothered otherwise) I just found it funny that somebody was under the impression that indie games go from idea to full game in six months and was complaining about that considering all the legit issues that exist around this game.

cypressz and/or cypress zeta. Also made overwhored and kissing therapy. The patreon got a warning, and afterward it was totally rebranded and last I checked was making some sort of totally SFW game. I think it was going to be either a candy crush or a match three type game, but I never really looked through the new page. Word was that cypress was also permabanned from discord for trading pictures, so the ways of direct communication about the game that most people would use are more or less totally cut off.

His Last Post said his entire job now is dealing with the VAs and making sure the actual dev team doesn't deviate too much from the original game's vision

I'm mostly just trying to give some context. I've been aware of cypressz since before Overwhored was finished, so I felt I had a decent grasp on things. It's not like I have some sort of beef with the game, as long as the discount for owning the original game isn't something insulting to the degree of "We're giving you a 5% discount on this game because you own the original" I'll likely be picking up ReDaze if it eventually comes out on itch.

To circle back to the original question, I imagine most people just want the game to be done. I don't feel like digging around to find proper dates, but the game was "completed" around five years ago. There was preliminary work on the sequel game "Tropical Daze" up to and including having names and character art for the new cast. As it stands ReDaze could be great. So could Ginger Paradise. Neither of those things change the fact that it's gotten to the point where an individual could have been excited about Tropical Daze, finished their last few months of high school, and now be halfway to being a doctor or a lawyer without getting the slightest hint of progress being made.

I mean, trusting Cypress word after all this years it's really dumb, and even more thinking he will have a word on the project or even he cares about it. If he at least could be honest about the project, i won't mind waiting, like, come on it's not half life 3, he could at least tell the fans how things truly are.

I'm mostly just trying to give some cont...

To circle back to the original questi...
He won't have much word on the price and the promised discount either, that will be purely up to critical bliss, and if he doesn't want to do it, well, bad news.

Also, now he got the perfect excuse to retire the game from steam because payment methods are getting picky on what you can and can't buy on the store, and porn games are the main target. Don't get surprised if critical bliss kills the project now that that is happening.

To resume, most people are mad because cypress stopped working on the sequel for this and kept people in the dark about everything that has to do with the ramake, and the worst thing is that he handled the game to the worst people he could and he even dissapeared from everywhere. Also, he never had the gut to talk to the fans about the release date it was put on steam, that also they changed it to "to be announced" and even lied about it saying that they can't change the dates on steam, thing that steam clearly says on the faq page, dates are put there by the devs/publishers.

Hahaha, waow.

So he was indeed living off of the Steam and itch.io money. Now he has to go on "low power" because he was doing so much all these years. I'm sorry but your game is not "doing pretty well" if you don't even have a tutorial level completed. A tutorial level means that you have the most basic of basic functionality in a game. It means that you have something that is playable. Not even something that is finished. Not even something with a win condition or a failure condition. Just something that is playable. You don't even have that apparently. This isn't a game with 3d models like Persona. This isn't a novel 2d game like Undertale/Detalrune. This isn't even an RPGMaker template job. This is a visual novel. I, along with one of your artists, took your concept of Kissing Therapy from a script you had lying around to a complete game within one (1) month. These games are not complicated to make. This tell us that you have done absolutely nothing for all of these years.

I originally felt bad for you for being taken advantage of, but you're not innocent. You just went with the flow. LL says you need to do an engine change which you knew would reset everything and you just went with it. You didn't reject it. You didn't push to make the game that you promised. You just embraced the scam. Then after so much silence you suddenly couldn't figure out discord somehow so you just abandoned that, cutting off all direct communication. Another tactic that the scam artist LL uses. Not to mention that claim that you got hospitalized and therefore couldn't work on the game: stalling for more time and reducing communication further. That's the same lie LL used back with WMNAD. And there was COVID. And there was the Godot controversy. It was convenient excuse after convenient excuse, all out of your control. You haven't worked on this game at all.

And now you say "if the money is completely turned off there's no point in even making anything." You weren't making anything to begin with. You say you were "willing to sell my house if I had to in order to put out my game." No you weren't. LL said the the same thing when his GamerGate tabloid site wasn't bringing in enough money and he needed to drum up sympathy and hype just before he launched the WMNAD Kickstarter. You end this spiel with begging people to give you more money on Subscribestar. No, Cypress. You used to be a writer. Now you've become the same scam artist that LL is. Pathetic.

Some dude asked Frost since he's extremely positive that a demo will come this years, what will they do if that doesn't happen and completely ignored the question even when frost was fiercely answering to him from before and even jumped on him all mad saying to stop spreading misinformation when the dude never told anything. Looks like we are in the verge of them setting the last nail to the coffin.

Now they have the perfect excuse to end it all or just start crying even louder for more money and time, and I'm inclining to the second option since on retarded already wrote on the subscribestar post that he started to donate even more to help lmao.

New rant freshly out of the oven. The only thing i want to highlight here is that Frost itself wrote here that Ginger's Paradise was 1 or 2 months away of getting a demo, and this was announced on end of April 2025, literally almost 3 months ago, and was about to get a demo in the next month or 2.

5 MONTHS AND ALREADY A DEMO AND REDAZE HAS BEEN +4 YEARS IN DEVELOPMENT AND HAS NOTHING.

Idk whats Ginger's Paradise it's being made on, but still you can connect the dots, they have no excuse here. If you can have a demo in 5 months for a rhythm game and even with ANIMATIONS AND MANY SONGS, theres no excuse to not have a 5 min demo for a visual novel in godot after a year or year and half. This is the definitive proof that shows that this game isn't being worked on at all.

I still love the game but I am not much of a fan of 'hyper' body proportions. :s Looks like all of them will be HH+ cups now. I for one like piercings.

Hmm. The duality of man. :HideThePain:
I don't see any hypers here? When I think hyper proportions, I think more like the stuff creators like this make,

Sorry, I did a search for hyper-proportions which is supposed to be a tag on F95 but when I search for it, all I find are posts like this crapping on big boobs. I am glad we all don't like the same things. I won't bash your thing, please don't degrade mine. Thanks. Nice chat.

Apparently the furries are fed up with this miscategorization too. I checked the tag on e621 and was presented with a half-disguised rant:

I just saw that Critical Bliss has several games on steam that are still on early access and some weren't even updated in over 2 years. The thing i don't know is if Critical bliss took over them, but still. Orc massage and venture seas are some, and then we have the "upcoming" projects too.
