It's not a bug. ;)
You have to increase your affinity with side girls (like Astrid) to progress further on her story. If you fail to get the affinity point with her during the Waltz event (or any other event), that event will pop-up again until you suceed.
It works a bit differently with the 3 main girls (Nox, Astrid, Candrid) whose story will progress no matter what (but it's obviously recommended to try to get the affinity points).
I believe there is a PDF guide/walkthrough on the OP in case you are a bit lost

Indeed, I should make Nox's event as non repeatable, even when the player fails to get the affinity increase. I'll adjust that on next update. Thanks
It's not very critical, because having 35 intelligence and 10 of the rest won't help much when facing some angry warrior ;) , you can tell him about all the math, physics and history you know, not sure he cares :p
Btw you can get up to 16 INT playing normally with some specific choices of girls (if you are a raven), and by abusing this bug, you barely get more (maybe 17/18), but you will miss affinity points, str and dex points instead, so it's not a good deal doing that.

Naw, he said main girls, not best girls (I also really like Mathilda, although I prefer Lizgard and Yrsa).

Any idea how to get points with astrid. I tried a bunch of choices and none seems to work. Is it because we need to commit to her or something

They actually aren't. The main girls are Astrja, Nox, and Candrid: the three girls who can help the MC join a clan in the first place. No other girls are helpful in this way at the beginning of the game. You can focus on other girls for sure (and I do so myself), but the storyline progression — that you don't choose but what happens anyway, generally at the end of a week — is tied to those three main girls.

White wolf route with the latest astrid event, apparently its not possible to get astrid affinity to +3 unless i have to replay it and reject Astrja somehow (which i would rather not tbf, Astrja is my fav after all). It works now after i try with the Dark raven route though so my guess is you can't do it on the White wolf route

Do Astrid event before doing Mathilda`s event, says it is a nickname for her, think about the past, is it your signature?

I just hope you got past making fun of us (players) with those sequences of events we couldn't do anything but watch our effort with the girls be destroyed (I hated that shit in the first game):eek:
