Yeah, there is one state where certain areas of it that have legal prostitution within licensed brothels: Nevada, the total population of counties where it is legal is about a quarter of a million residents with about 21 brothels.

And as for the filming of pornography, it's only recently legal - federally - in the USA. SCOTUS decision in Miller v. California (1973) defining obscenity indirectly made certain pornography legal to film. Yes, 52 years is "recent."
