Can't disagree, but as I mentioned, I already ignore 0.1 version games by default. I don't even glance at them.

And when you filter all those out, the 'garbage tier' percentage goes way down already. And it's at that point that you start noticing the NTR game copypasta & shovelware approach more. Because so many of them are incredibly short "click to follow the story on your phone" games, they get a COMPLETE tag on them, despite being barely a game to begin with.

Honestly though, NTR isn't a big beef for me. Just wanted to join in this discussion with a slightly different viewpoint on the issue.

I think they need to change it to or add a cucked (applied to MC) tag to be honest, most other kinks dont use a japanese term & Netorare is still confusing given its numerous similar sounding and similar kinks

Just seems that tagging is still a little unclear at the moment. A cucked tag is pretty obvious (cucked + romance = netorare).

EDIT: This is another potential reason for the hate to add to the list, I would wager many people learned what Netorare was by encountering it face to face as its not intuitive what it is (the others are pretty obvious). For example I am pretty sure if the Japanese fetish term for scat was used you'd see a lot more hate there as well as people went into the game blind and discovered something with a 'wtf' moment.

Well they changed it from NTR to Netorare to avoid confusion, and confusion is still ongoing - if every other kink is in English why is one using the Japanese word.

The number of people accidentally going into games not knowing what it means & discovering that meaning like a slap in the face would definitely be fueling some of the dislike towards it.

1 of those terms isn't Japanese, the other 4 have no english equivalent. English uses the word sushi because there's no equivalent. Soy sauce is used in english because there was an equivalent. English is a melting pot language, so sushi is now also an adopted english word.

I absolutely understand (and I didn't think you were trying to be a jerk, my apologies if that's how it came across), but surely you can also see how someone who either joined the site later or wasn't aware of the change would just assume ntr meets whatever criteria they deem it to since it can mean any of the three terms I listed.

I also totally agree it should not be an umbrella term, but until the tag rework, people are going to use it that way (even if it's later corrected).

If I asked for sushi in Japan they may find my pronunciation off and I write it in a foreign language, but pretenting its not a Japanese word is just being disingenuous as it still carries the same meaning. The same works in reverse.
