Looking for an old game. I believe it was either flash or html based, 99% sure I discovered it here on f95... driving me insane not being able to find it. Searched all prefic Abandoned and Incomplete games, as well as spent about 3 hours today combing through the forums. Anyways, here goes:

From what I remember, this game was Incomplete or Abandoned. The game's premise was crash landing your ship on a planet, and trying to survive/repair your ship while managing corruption, hunger, and parasites/infection. The gameplay layout was similar to Lilith's Throne, stats and character window on the left, bottom was options/choices to make within the area, etc.

The biggest detail I remember is that character creation options were extensive - male/female, weight (and distribution), body type, breast/genital size, hair length/style, the works. There was also a unique general outline of your character in the upper right corner, (black background, white lines to show body proportions) that changed as your character's body was modified through the creation menu, as well as through your choices throughout the game. For example if your character gained weight, the outline of your characters belly, thighs, arms, etc. would grow. If you ate way too much food, or an alien pumped you full of fluid, your belly would be extended. You needed to worry about finding food lest you starve, and maintaining a low level of infection/corruption that inevitably would creep into your body from the outside environment/creatures.

You start in your crashed ship, where your computer informs you the planet has many infectious organisms, but you need to journey out to figure out how to repair your ship. As you navigated the map there were several key areas - a forest, plains, and underground. Whichever area you ventured into had random encounters, often with alien fungi or creatures, that would be intent on corrupting your body with eggs or parasites. I remember in particular a tree (or mushrooms maybe?) that oozed sweet smelling honey, and if you chose to consume the honey it would increase your weight greatly. Also, in the forest, there was a chance you would see a strange totem that would shoot knock-out darts at you if you triggered it.

I can remember a few more details, but for the most part this is what I got. Any suggestions?

Great attempt pepette, I actually didn't find Ethos on my search yesterday, so kudos to that! But unfortunately not the game I'm thinking of :(

You might be right, maybe it was eventually updated, but I was sure by the time I discovered it (sometime last year), it had been abandoned. I am only sure of this because I remember several posters requesting the framework/code for the game... so who knows, maybe someone took off with it? Either way, the search continues for me today, this time outside of the abandoned prefix!

Some additional detail: I remember the corruption system being much more akin to an "infection". Different enemies would cause different types of corruption, i.e. a certain tree that leaked honey would significantly increase your characters weight thus making it difficult to escape from encounters. There was a "universal" kind of corruption though, that held a chance of causing a mutation in your character as your corruption level increased. You would almost instantly receive a mutation if your corruption was near maximum level. If I remember correctly the mutation would depend on what infection was primarily corrupting your character. The honey tree would change your skin tone/appearance to a dark golden hue and somewhat slimy texture, as well as permanently increase your character's minimum weight. Reaching a high corruption level with infection with said honey tree for a second time would give your character's skin a strange, sweet aroma, and again increase your characters minimum weight significantly (alongside the effect of the honey itself making you chubby and sluggish as all hell).

There were more encounters in the game, though I'm struggling to remember their details aside from this weird honey tree/fungus thing and the totem. Like after the Dart Totem knocked you out, you'd wake up to some dark figure walking off into the distance, and some internal monologue of knowing he/she/it had done something to you while you were unconcious. If you already had this encounter, you could find the totem once again and choose to disable the trap in hopes of luring the owner out for an ambush... though I never managed to do so (was far to interested in getting sexy timed I imagine XD).

Another encounter I barely remember was a face-huggerish kind of enemy that would lay parasites in you, a weird spider like appearance. You could encounter the normal version, which would try to tackle you and lay eggs (parasites?) in your holes, but also you could encounter a "swollen" version of them, that was so overfilled with it's own parasites that it could barely move. You could choose to simply squash it then and there, or be a weirdo and help "relieve" the spider thing by letting it latch on and breed you. The mutation caused from reaching a peak corruption level from this spider thing would make your skin pale and clammy (like the spiders), and cause you to put off pheremones that attracted more of the spider things in random encounters, as well as reducing the gestation period from which you birthed more of these spider things once they layed you.

There were also medicinal syringes (not sure what they were called in game?) that would reset your corruption and infection levels to 0, but they were a rare find, and you only start with a limited number onboard your ship.

Somehow remembered WAY more today than I did yesterday... hope this helps narrow it down. I'll be continuing my search today, as well as adding any more details I remember. Thanks again and in advance for the help, f95 community!

That's Tainted Elysium by Atticus-Arc. The developer stopped work on it a few years ago but the latest version of the game, change log, and debug file are available here:
