Mixed feelings, but I feel this is actually a pretty decent update.
PROS:
--goodly amount of content (lots of blowjobs, in particular); I mean, this is what, 7 characters you can take all the way to completion? Plus some additional scenes? When's the last time he updated with that much sex?
--more women in high heels
--more group sex scenes
--IMO, more realistically proportioned women! Instead of ridiculously shredded amazons with balloon tits or chicks with asses the size of texas, we get some reasonably shaped femmes. I know there were complaints about making Batgirl too curvy, but I think she looks pretty good in this.
CONS:
--most of the women I don't give a shit about, why not focus on fucking superheroines?
--still too much boring ass shit like handjobs and "dances" (seriously, the reporter chick just lifting her skirt is a "dance"?)
--so much superfluous clicking; I know some people want some kind of 'narrative' here, but I'm just here for the porn, I don't need to hear the mayor drone on for a dozen clicks about the state of Gotham.
--I know we're not gonna get full on animations ever again, but I'd appreciate at least the back-and-forth static shots to give the appearance of movement (dick partway in, dick buried)
--minimal expression changes...this is a very minor thing that still makes the scenes flow better, I don't know why he hasn't been doing it, it seriously can't take that much time to just draw some new eyes/mouth and slap it on the sprite.

Honestly? This is a complaint I have about regular photographic porn as well. Don't look at the camera, just ignore it, look at the guy fucking the shit out of you.
But I guess some viewers like it, or they wouldn't keep doing it; probably a "self insert" kinda thing.
Pretty good update overall imo. It gave me inspiration and motivation to make this.
Hopefully we can get similar events with more characters in the future.
Some of the scenes are absolutely gorgeous, like the Barbara grope scene and the Barbara cumshot scene. I love her hair, earrings and expressions. 10/10
I don't really like her dress all that much tho. I do like her shoulder strap-thingies, her hair and earrings but she just kinda looks naked with some blue on top. It's just not that interesting to look at. I much prefer Talia's dress, not because it's more revealing, but because of the fabric and texture. Look how it folds over her stomach. It's much more interesting to look at in my opinion than Barbara's which just seems flat.
Some of the scenes have much lesser quality. For example Barbara blowjob scene looks disproportionate and 'off'. It just looks weird. Some will probably attribute this to AI and use it as proof of how shit AI is. These people are clueless. The problem isn't AI, but a shift in the style and direction of Sunsets art. This in itself is not a bad thing, but I personally prefer his older "Bruce Timm"-style. This new style looks off-model, like a blow-up doll. Yuck!
A lot of assets and poses are reused which brings down the overall experience of the update. Even though a scene might be 'new', because of the same body types, reused assets, but most importantly, same "idea for a pose", the scene doesn't feel new. Same pose, same background, same idea, same perspective, etc. It's same-ish and boring.
Most people will probably complain about the update focusing on characters nobody cares about. Although I can definitely sympathize somewhat, I think you should always focus on what something is rather than what it isn't. Personal character preference isn't an objective merit. Although I don't give a fuck about Veronica Vreeland I loved the idea of her Eyes Wide Shut-orgy afterparty. Her orgy intro scene sets the tone so well. I love the slight tilt of the image and the frame within a frame effect of the opening doors. The mask and jewelry pulls so much more than their weight. Great scene!
The same can be said about Veronicas masked girls. The tinted hair, hair curls, mask variation, make-up under the masks and different jewelry makes the images alot more interesting to look at than if they were just naked. (The bj mouths are kinda wierd though).
I enjoyed it overall, but I don't like the direction of where Sunsets artstyle seems to be heading. Still, SU is so much farther ahead than the vast majority of games on this site. Hopefully he can harness the potential of using AI as a tool, instead of destroying his artstyle.
On a final note, I'm pretty sure Sunset frequents this thread, or atleast some of the fanart has made it's way back to him. I can't think of a greater endorsment than the original artist himself being inspired by fanart from this thread. Keep up the good work y'all!

The new sprites are okay. Unfortunately the "problem" is that most follow SR7's new school of not being divided up into separate parts which is what made them easily editable in the first place. Also most of the characters look like doofuses and/or are people no one cares about. It's kind of telling that despite adding on, what, a couple dozen new characters in the last two mega events no one actually makes edits of them. At best they're just mined for sprites and positions to do edits of characters that have been around since the beginning of the game.

I actually really like this year's update, aside from some minor drawing mistakes that we have seen before. If I didnt get occupied by my Livewire sets, I would make some edits for KF2, Roxy and RedClaw, along with some classic batman characters.
I am still focusing on finishing the rest of the set, so I am only drafting on the new assets ftm.
