I know nobody gives a single shit about this, but hear me out lads. At some point, near end of the developement I guess, Gunsmoke will have to something about "Threat" system, right?.. Right?..
SO. Today I had the best idea ever to make game actually interesting and porn somewhat rewarding.
Remember heists, eh? Some dumb bitch/asshole will always fuck up that one task you payed for... But what if you had a controll over situation? What if you could command your mercs to do the right shit so you win and earn some cash?
RPG battles. Yeah. But don't get me wrong, I don't want something super-deep and tacticool, but that would really vary things, cause Im sure some of you are really bored with all this reading.
So, you can task up to 2 people to do the job, right? Give em some basic skills like "le shoot", "le slash"
, "le psycho brain damage" and etc. And depending on the heist you will have different type of enemies: some hobos, cops, swat teams, army or some spec units.
And now you ask yourself, how the fuck is it even connected to "Threats"?
You see, it's all very simple. If a game has these "battles", you can now fight back the "threats". I think it would be good to slice threat bar in 4 parts: 1lvl is just some thugs or cops, 2lvl - some swat and cops, 3lvl - spec units with some sidekicks such as Arsenal, Kid Flash and etc. or some not-so-famous superheroes, 4lvl - shit gets real - a JL member.
You can also spice things a little bit with some "critical hit" static arts of girls being awesome (f.e.: Mercy spraying with Thompson SMG) and guys being dudes (Bane breaking spines of some poor folks), idk.
I KNOW how fucking ridiculous this sounds considering how long this develpment been going on and what game turned out to be, but EH, it doesn't hurt to dream. I mean, Aurelia had a many fun-yet-simple minigames. You don't even need to animate this shit, just draw some shitty static CG that would just stand and add some hp bar and it's done.
