DC being more lenient with copyrights doesn't mean Disney won't go batshit crazy at the mere mention of some1 drawing anything resembling 1 of their IP. Just check Nintendo's record on takedowns compared to every other game company
If it's a matter of leniency then I get it. I just took the previous post to mean that SU continues not because DC is lenient, but because the dev can legally make this game. Which begged the question about Disney.

Yes I know. Similarly DC is Justice League. So my question was that if the dev of SU can legally continue this game (provided the previous poster is correct), then shouldn't the dev of Orange Trainer be able to continue his game? I know Disney and DC are different companies, but the law should apply the same right? Hope it's more clear now.
You seem to misunderstand. Disney is infamously litigious... WB less so (or at it was WB at the time, now it's some weird WB Discovery channel mishmash, so they're as likely to be more litigious as they are could give 2 shits).

18K a month. :ROFLMAO:
From your perspective, that's a lot (216K/year before Patreon takes their cut, assuming average never changes). From the perspective of a billion dollar corporation, that's worth a cease-and-desist letter, not a multi-year lawsuit... not that it would ever get that far, 18K a month ain't worth paying lawyer bills. Plus, publicity might compound issues.

Patreon would be the better lawsuit in the USA, but between copyright takedown safe harbor requirements from DMCA and Section 230 stuff protecting web hosts, Patreon is relatively bulletproof. For now... although DMCA takedown stuff prolly won't apply here, it's still marginally transformative, not literally that weird chopped up shit on Youtube designed to avoid algorithms that IS straight copyright infringement.

Easy he's white and a man. there's no affinity group to complain about it and when there is they are declared white supremacists, and/or male chauvinists with fragile egos also known as white fragelity by the sjws
Actually Nightwing is Romani, he's a literal gypsy and has been for decades. Plenty of bigotry and racism is still pointed towards people of that ethnic group regardless of their skin colour. If you're going to post nonsense you could at least do the 15 seconds of research it would take to make sure your nonsense has any basis.

As for the other ongoing discussion, I seem to recall hearing that SR7 had already been poked by WB to stop making SU years ago and the response was to make a minor changes to the logo and name of the project and then claim parody and apparently that was enough. Whether that's true or not I don't know, but parody gets you out of a lot of shit in western media.

Sorry all, I've been working 16+ hour days for the last couple of weeks and what was meant to be a light hearted response came across a little hard in the paint.

Not all Western media, because not all Western media has the 1st Amendment (although copyright technically has its own section in the Constitution). Try doing parody in Great Britain, might be surprised how it turns out differently (although still better than most other countries). But it also generally isn't criminalized, it's mostly civil (as in, money trades hands, not doing some time). There is that criminal FBI stuff also, but that is primarily concerned with copying/distributing the exact thing copied FOR PROFIT, not something that has slightly changed and has at least some marginal "artistic" value...

WB prolly sent a cease-and-desist letter, SR7 (which ain't even Sunset Riders anymore) changed whatever bare minimum they could, and WB stopped caring since Google wouldn't spit out search results anymore that involves the words "Justice" and "Unlimited" (or "League" for that matter). Because if SR7 didn't... they would be on the hook for something like 500K+ minimum in damages PLUS court costs PLUS lawyer fees (which are also not cheap); pretty easy slam dunk case, both judge and jury should decide the same thing (that it's copyright infringement not excused by fair use, pay up you lazy copying sack of ass).

It should also be noted that he wasn't always romani. He was made romani by Devin Grayson bc she has a fetish for romani men. She also self inserted into Tarantula who raped Nightwing in her comic.

If this is the case, I wonder if things are any different with Disney.

One of my favorite games here is Orange Trainer with Ahsoka. The ending was a little abrupt for my taste and a lot of people (me included) were hoping that the dev might continue it someday. It's been a while so I'm foggy on the details, but I remember someone here saying the dev can't due to copyright reasons. Is it different with Disney? It shouldn't be right?
Ah yes... Orange Trainer. A good game that I'm had a lot end up on the cutting room floor. As I recall Exiscoming decided not to make any porn games ever again because of battles with Patreon and the looming threat of litigation.

As for Disney being different, as my law professor used to say "The mouse always gets his blood money." While I agree with other posters (sorry for not tagging you guys) that the main issue is money, there is also the issue of popularity. Many infringement cases deal with the issue that the parody is so popular it is considered nearly or absolutely indistinguishable from the original.

Currently, the mouse only goes after those that are the most popular. If they went after everyone, it would be a serious scandal and also quite costly. Going after porn companies? No way, it's obvious parody and those guys will fight. But artists and game creators? Now we're talking, but it's still a matter of picking the right battles to fight.

Now an old strategy of Disney's that still occurs to today is the standard Cease and Dissist order/notice being sent en masse. 7/10 times there is compliance because people don't want to risk a battle. 2/10 cases will lose because it's obviously a parody. So only 1/10 times is there really a threat. This used to happen alot.....until Nintendo did the same thing on steroids. Bad press ensued and Disney focused on other things.

So is Disney worse or better? Tough to say because it depends on the property, the popularity, and of course the money. When it comes to porn they are mostly silent. They could care less about some properties like "Aristocats" or "Mr. Magoo". But if it's in production hell or is locked away in the vault, they will definitely take notice.

Don't fuck with the House of Mouse, they fuck with you. Whereas WB execs get traded out every year like car models (or at least maybe used to, new Discovery/WB combo might finally get their shit together).

is there an android ver. or a port available?
There is a demo on the first page but it hasn't been updated for a (couple?) years.

Somebody's doing a Ren'Py version. That might get a port once it gets further along.

There was another game "Something Trainer" but that's also dead.

Exiscoming made a Totally spies porn game just recently though.
