Unity - Something Unlimited [v2.4.7] [Gunsmoke Games]

Is it strange that I enjoy the story over the porn ? Most girls comes with their own background and reasons to be subservient, and their reaction to the "final stage" is always something I look forward to. Kinda feels like those animated shows I watched as a kid (well except that, it's porn).

I really really really like this game... but I can't say that it is perfect either. There are simply so many issues here that I can't not mention them.

But first, what's good about this game? Well... the artwork for one is amazing. The characters are so well drawn and the girls look really hot for the most part. Some of them look just like they did in the show the designs are based on. The outfits for some of the girls are really good too for the most part, especially the slut/hooker costumes for the corrupted heroines.
The premise is also really good for a porn game, you play as Lex Luthor who captures and brainwashes superheroines to be strippers and prostitutes. You can also have each of the heroines be your own personal sex slave, with each of them having their own corruption arc (albeit some are much better than others).
The dialogue is also quite good, it's rather hot and sexy when it needs to be but also rather funny in some other places. The characters are all written fairly accurately... for the most part (Princess Audrey is pretty out of character, depicted as a spoiled selfish bitch whereas she was much more likeable in the show).

Now for the bad stuff... unfortunately there's quite a bit. For one, this game first came out in like 2016 and there are still some pretty basic things missing.
    1. The menu system for getting from one place to another is incredibly long and not well designed, making the process feel really tedious.
    2. There is no sound whatsoever in the entire game. I don't just mean there's no voice acting (though part of me hopes eventually some does get added) but there's nothing whatsoever. No sounds of doors opening when you enter a room, no button pressing sounds in the menus, no basic stock background music, NOTHING! This thus makes the whole game feel a bit lifeless since you're just playing it in complete and total silence.
    3. Some characters still haven't gotten any content. Catwoman just has some dialogue, one CG of her on the desk and that's it! Nothing else, and she's been in the game for years!

Also, the range of the content added to the game has been in stagnation for at least a few years. It's mainly just been "add cell content for this heroine" or "add new heroine". While this is good, it also means that you're getting a lot of the same content with each update. New girl gets added, Lex captures her, she resists but ultimately gives in happily or not, Dance, Strip, BJ, Sex, Anal and repeat. Also, the corruption arcs of some of the girls can sometimes feel a bit repetitive. I get that there are a shitload of characters and giving them all completely unique arcs isn't easy but can we have some more original ones? Like Miss Martian's corruption arc is great, so is Vixen's and Supergirl's but the newer ones feel... rehashed. Vixen's whole arc was that she was willing to serve him from the getgo seeing as how she knew she couldn't do anything about it so she may as well enjoy it. Well, that's basically the same thing for Huntress and Cassie's arcs more or less (they just offer a tiny bit more resistance before fully giving in).
Some small new things added to the game are rather good, like the new dual leash scenes. There are only a handful currently, but they are really good and I'd love to see more of them

And of course... there's the elephant in the room... the updates themselves...
While I get that making a game for so many people and trying to please them all is not easy... the updates themselves have been plagued with delay after delay after delay or (even worse) cut content, leaving the updates we do get as being rather minimal. There is also the issue of bugs, but that's not nearly as bad as other people claim... at least according to me. I have yet to experience a truly gamebreaking bug.

So with all that said... is Something Unlimited a bad game? No, not by any means. If you just want a hot game to get your rocks off to, you'll probably love it and enjoy what there is. However, the issues of the game simply cannot be ignored.

I love it. The artwork is simply phenomenal and by now this game has a massive amount of content, even if updates don’t come out as frequently as I would like. If you have always wanted to fuck dc superheroines and villainesses this is the game for you.

    Wonderfull game from DC universe.

A lot of characters, funny jokes and costumes.A lot of events and interactions.

Meta bordello is really good idea for a game.

That's nice that author still in a game and adds new heroes to the game.

    Thanks to author.

We all wanna fuck Wonder Women and Powergirl. Worth a play, only issue is visual novel like elements which equals a dull experience while the tycoon side is more interesting but not explored currently.

Been paying since they added Raven to the summons, love it, love the Community, great stuff! Yes its a it repetitive, but that's what a MANAGEMENT game is, you manage and are rewarded for it!

If you like Management games, this is one I highly recommend it!

I really don't get how games like this can get such good ratings... The art is nice enough but very repetitive (every woman's body looks the same) which is a good adjective to qualify pretty much everything in the game...
An unbelievable amount of grind to repeat the same actions and nearly the same dialogues over and over for each character...
Had tried this once and given up fairly quickly at the time. I thought I would give it another chance but there's just no enjoyment to get from this...
I feel like players will rate games like this favourably just because of the universe it's derived from and their own fantasies of the characters, but there's really nothing in this game to justify the amount of success it's getting...

I underestimated this game, it's very good! Even the grind is fun to do. The art is reminiscent of the original heroes and the story is captivating and very interesting. There are some issues for me, like the fact that you can't save or load like ren'py games, this makes the game's replay value very boring and tiring to do if you want to see all the cutscenes and dialogue; and there are some scenes that are very similar to each other like the strip scenes with most heroines, they could have more diversity!

Gameplay: A sandbox point and clicker, choosing between locations. I MUST INSIST YOU PLAY THIS WITH CHEATS ENABLED.

Writing: Characters have lots of personality due to the size of the source material.

    Art: Good stylized 2d.

    Audio: Completely silent.

Probably should have reviewed earlier, but here goes :)
This is for me the definitive game when it comes to super heroines!

    Positives
    • Great base concept: Lex develops a mind control device that allows him to do whatever he wants to the famous DC heroines during the night and they go back to their life during the day. He makes them work at his strip club and bordello or puts them in cells to play with himself.
    • Fantastic art: I'm no expert but it's mostly in the cartoons of the late 90s era I believe. Quality work.
    • Lots of characters and sex scenes: At the time I'm writing this we are at 2.3.6. There's about 30 girls to play with in regular content and event scenarios.
    • Cheat availability: You can of course play without cheats, but the game becomes too grindy in my opinion. It's great that you can speed things up if you want to.
    Negatives
    • Repetitive mechanics: You capture the girls, put them in the strip club to earn money and unlock their mind control device further until you can put them in the bordello and then the cells. If you cheat with the money, the cell content is very standard. Visit for some conversations, 3 times dance, 3 times spank, 3 times blowjob, 3 times sex, 3 times anal and then do what you want.
    • Complacency: While the content is great, it feels like the dev has fallen into a routine and keeps adding content in the exact same way instead of mixing this up a bit in terms of story and character interactions.
    Conclusion

The art is absolutely gorgeous, the basic story premise is great and the sexy content is massive at this point, but there is still a lot of potential which I believe the dev leaves untapped because it's easy to pump out similar content each update.

Add some threesomes, complete the bordello content and expand the existing ladies instead of just adding new ones, have some shady characters like Bullock find out what happens and then be enticed to keep silent in order to have free access to the ladies, have Lex exploit the girls to close business deals, add new events, etc.

This is a quality game, by far the best if you're into these heroines (and who isn't), most definitely worth playing!! But don't get complacent and churn out the same thing over and over, push the game a bit further. Gave it 4 stars because it has the potential to easily be 6/5 stars.

A few years ago I would have given this game a solid 4.5 out of 5. And yet, here we are, at v2.3.6, giving it only 2. I feel like SU is a fantastic illustration of diminishing returns when it comes to a wide selection in your porn game.

There's still some good in it. The basic premise and most of the early writing is uniquely in-line with the source material. Considering that most of these parody games stick you in a faceless, hapless shell, it's still interesting to see Lex Luthor doing Lex Luthor things. The art rarely dips under mediocre, and there are a few well-done scenes here and there. You could probably cobble together a compilation of the best bits of this game, and I'd give *that* 5 stars.

But there's issues that have been there from the beginning and issues that have only gotten worse. This game's been in development for over five years and the UI/UX is still garbage. Any way of making money in this game, whether it's through heists or the Glamour Slam or the Meta-Bordello, requires a lot of needless button-pressing or haphazard drag-n-drop mechanics. I can firmly say that anybody giving this game 5 stars used the cheat menu rather than trying to make money the way you're supposed to make money. That's not even getting to the various orphaned features taking up space in menus (It took so long for them to add a use for the robotics lab that I apparently went through multiple updates without realizing one was added), or having to guess which of several locations you have to poke at in order to unlock new content.

And the content at this point has landed in a rut. Again, a problem with the increasingly wide scope of the game. I've watched Lex Luthor tell a woman that she can't masturbate over a dozen times on just my latest playthrough. I've gone through the same cycle of dance -> strip -> blowjob -> vaginal sex -> anal sex, with the occasional handjob or titjob, way too many times at this point. This is compounded by the fact that we only get two body types: normal and muscular, and the fact that the aforementioned UI problems mean that you occasionally have to poke around characters you've fucked a dozen times because there might be an option you forgot about. And as we've gone through the same cycle over and over again, the writing has started to lose its luster. We're getting less of Lex the cunning manipulator and more of Lex the casual misogynist. Batgirl's corruption was great because it relied on exploiting her heroic instincts, whereas a lot of the more recent ones like Crush or Donna just go 'Lex wins because his cock's just too irresistable and these girls are just too easily overwhelmed'. It's boring. Same thing's happening with the various new settings we've gotten. Lex leading a harem of superheroines, using careful strategy and advanced technology to avoid notice? Reasonable. Lex also fucking his way through the Legion of Doom? A good expansion. Lex cuckholding Vandal Savage and fucking his way through his staff in order to betray him at a later point? A bit of a stretch. Lex marrying into the League of Assassins and Almerac royalty, and the implications that he's about to fuck his way through Themyscira? Ridiculous. And each expansion means the same couple of sex scenes applied to fairly similar characters.

I've replayed this game a couple of times and this is the first time I've just stopped before unlocking all the content. Tired of getting served the same meal over and over again with a different garnish. It's not worth the effort anymore.

the superhero art is lit but i can't get myself to actually play the game theres a ton of stuff to do but aint clear to me wtf is the point. lex luthor mind controls superhos but needs a mind control device takes a bunch of steps to make when it could just be like a button on the screen. i ragequit right then and there but luckily found a complete save. even with that its hard to figure out how to watch the scenes. fucken amazing the amt of effort been put into making the game annoying and unplayable.

This game is literally what I use as the gold standard when reviewing other games. My only complaint is that there isn't audio, but I almost forget about that within minutes of playing it.
The art is phenomenal and stays true to the source material. The writing is not only well done, but it is interesting to read just to learn about the intriguing plot that is unfolding. The word grimace is overused, but the writing style is consistent throughout.
I really hope to see more work from Gunsmoke Games and this is one of the only creators that I actively follow.

Downloaded this game to give it a try since it has a decent rating a nd has been in development for a while. Full disclosure, I have a negative opinion of derivative works. Unfortunately this ended up being a prime example of why I have this negative opinon.
    To further elaborate:
At the time of writing the developers of this game are making 17,000 dollars a month off this game on patreon. They are talking about reworking a lot of the game and what was played for this review was very early game, but that early game is so, so terrible that i'm annoyed at the time wasted to download and try it. It's just that bad.
This game will tell you nothing about how to progress, has a threadbare story, and is one of the most cumbersome unenjoyable experiences in any game I have had to date. Instead of showing how much an upgrade costs on mouseover with a tooltip, you literally have to click every single button just to see what an upgrade costs. The first time you see the main map, the dev's thought it would be a great idea to not even put an outline on interactable elements. This is remedied later, but I spent an uncomfortable amount of time playing "find the hidden screen element" on that initial map screen. Again, i'd like to remind you these developers are getting over 17k per month off of unfortunate comic fans.
The progression path is very formulaic and boring. Writing is passable at best. Every significant action is tied behind percentage chances and RNG. Just flat out terrible design. Stay far away until they finish the rework of early game, and even then I wouldn't bother. This game is permanently on my ignore list, and I won't waste another second of my time on it.

Very high quality and worthy game. I look forward to every update. I would like to see more games of this type, with such high-quality art and plot. The only thing is that I would like more event content and more superheroine content) In general, the game is simply out of competition.

As of the current update 2.3.5 which has less content than what came out for 2.3.4 and other builds previously. Kinda adds to a 3 star rating. As another reviewer said it's not a game or visual novel just merely repetitive actions (one a day which already is a negative) even if you select to interact with using multiple heroines. Animations are borderline good, granted 90-95% of the women are too large of tits. Average size or small boobs aren't a bad thing as it is the same for majority of games that devs are scared for having actual close to accurate physical proportions.

Either way the current update somewhat does show the lowering of support given the actual world is getting more and more chaotic. Shit happens deal with it. (End of rating/ranting)

A genuinely fun game that seems to have been created by people with actual drawing talent and knowledge of the related characters. It can be buggy, and there are parts which are incomplete, but the gameplay is generally fun (there is a prison part which drags on), and the dialogue is often quite entertaining (there were parts where I really did laugh out loud). If you like the DCAU, it’s worth a try.

Bruce Timm's girls squeezed to the max.

Lex Luthor creates a technology to be able to control the mind at will of all the female members of the Justice League, you will see what you always imagined and more. With excellent illustrations and a fun story for adults, it is one of the best games you can find.

(If you're not familiar with Bruce Timm's DC animated universe, better keep your ignorance to yourself, don't be like the jerk like the commenting below me.)

    Antillar

An art gallery diluted with grind
Yes, this is actually not a game. And if it is trying to be one, it is failing miserably. Let me elaborate.

    The setting and the plot
The game is set in DC universe, featuring superheroes and supervillians of franchise we all know.
The player takes control of Lex Luthor, who is back in black and with a brand new idea of controlling everything - this time through some brain chips or whatever. He intends on capturing superheroines, installing a chip in them and letting them dance in a club to earn money for him.
Well, that's it. Kinda weak, right?
Ok well, but what if it is a sandbox, will it be enough to justify this game? Still no, moving on.

    The gameplay
After the plot is being discarded as non-existant apart from several intro events, what else is there to do, if anything at all?
After the event MC ends up with one heroine who is source of income - put her to dance and she earns money. Then upgrade this and that, capture a few more girls and business is booming! Well, this is an hour of gameplay. After this initial hour the money does not matter anymore. So, what is there left to do?
You can "evolve" (still no idea what it means) the girl's chip so she will not be a mindless slave but still have some restrictions applied, like cannot leave cell. And then she is taken to the said cell, where she resides. After which, you can do following sequence of actions:
    1. Introduction
    2. Talk 2 times
    3. New outfit
    4. Dance 3 times
    5. New outfit
    6. Strip 3 times
    7. Handjob 3 times
    8. New outfit
    9. Blowjob 3 times
    10. Sex 3 times
    11. New outfit
    12. Anal 3 times
After this sequence is completed, there is nothing else to do with the girl. Notice how everything has to be done 3 times to progress. It is only minor changes in text which happen over those 3 attempts, everything else is exactly the same.
Every girl is the same, every sequence is the same, every action is the same. Also, keep in mind that MC can only interact with each girl once per day, and has to fastforward to the next day to continue (and this takes you through 4-6 different menues depending on where the girl is). All this is eventually required of the player to unlock all the content.

    The art of the heroines
The art is actually pretty decent. I would not say it is incredible, but it good, close to original and feels in tone with the setting. That's it. It is always accompanied by the same generic copy-pasted dialogues and is always of certain types:
    1. Introductory art
    2. 1 for each new costume (usually 3)
    3. 1 for heroine dancing with every costume variation
    4. 2 for heroine stripping out of every costume (front and back)
    5. 1 for handjob (each costume)
    6. 1 or rarely 2 for blowjob (again, each costume)
    7. 2 (sometimes 1) for sex (for each costume)
    8. 1 (sometimes 2) for anal (for each costume)
    9. 1 for walking naked
    10. 1 for dancing in strip club
    11. 1 for stripping in strip club
    12. 2 for "playing" with herself in strip club
    13. 1 for having sex in brothel
So, well, the art presented in the game is in hundreds, if not thousands. However, it is all generic, only thing which changes in a heroine in the art. It is like you go to any rule34 site and just type in the name of heroine and you get all this. Here you have to grind for each piece instead.

    The game mechanics
I wanted to list them all here, but it was too much. Then I left only those which work, still too much. Then I left only those which work for something other than a particular event or a particular girl, which are reused and which you often interact with in the game. And then the list became empty. You only just do: Skip a day -> Base -> Cells -> Girl -> Cells -> Base -> City -> Skip a day. That is all you do regularly.

    Progress tracking, guide or whatever
Is not existant (officially, that is). You literally have to use fan-made spreadsheets etc to find out whether this particular scene is unlockable or not, because nothing in the game suggests that it would or would not be. There is a vault for that, right. Aaaand, it is bugged.

    The summary
As the game this thing is incredibly bad, like so bad it is not even worthy to be called a game.
"Playing" such game requires so bizarely basic sequence of actions I have literally written a macro to do that for me once an update comes out, then I just go to the vault and review all the scenes the macro unlocked. I cannot understand why anyone in own mind would voluntarily play this game, click on buttons in menues, like, do something even in here.

You see, before this game, the author, SR7, did actual arts. He had one game about corrupting Korra or smth, and it was mediocre. But then he realised that making just art doesn't turn a lot of profit. And he made this excuse for continuing making art - this wannabe game. It contains literally nothing the game should consist of, and it's main purpouse is only to host the art collection, which is the only thing the dev knows how to make.
Again, don't waste your time on this nonsence, just download a full save and go to Base -> Vault and view it as an art gallery. That is the only good thing you can get from it.

Certainly a 1/5, it is a terrible game because it is not even an actual game.
    Do not play it.
