The comment he is replying to was about no updates for a year. The “small ren’py updates” have been not only much more recent than a year and are not actually small (probably bigger than most updates in the last several years.)

So I don’t know what you’re saying. They’re doing the big switch to ren’py and doing the X-men thing, they have done updates. You can dislike their output and that’s fine, but your complaint in the context of who you directed it at is just incorrect.

People can give or not give whatever they want. They are the ones that decide what is too much, not you. You have decided you have given too much, cool. That’s valid for you. Others can disagree.

Ducks is 100% correct. Our stances have been communicated regularly since 2015. You set the value of what you support. If you gave more than a AAA game then thank you. If you gave $1.00 then thank you as well. There is no promise of extra rewards based on how much you gave. Also we did a stand alone update on April 28th.

I do also want to say that since our inception we have only REDUCED prices for people, never once upped our price levels. In fact we give deals, there is a referral code on OP, and run a regular sale, and have Patreon autopilot that sends out offers to free members. Most people won't remember that SU used to be $20/mth for an update in 2015.

Hi I just wanted to say Something Unlimited is a fantastic game and although the updates are slow, the product your team have developed is a work of art and should be commended for what it is. The version you guys have right now is a great testament to story telling and art. I thought this was going to a raunchy X game but the game design and almost accurate art is fantastic. The art is almost a verbatim to the original shows art which I really like and props to the artist. The game design is fantastic and it might take awhile to get in to, it does to deliver an engaging and challenging experience. The writing is excellent as well with characters having great personalities that can meld well into the hero/villain world of comics in a really engaging way. I am not a fan of Lex I just find him boring and generic but your other villains including henchwomen/henchmen and female villains are very fun to interact and engage with. I hope to see more updates soon and might even support your Patreon when I am able to. Cheers

I would like a continuous character stories and interactions with slowly showing the heroines slowly getting corrupted Miss Martian’s story is a good example she is slowly getting turned becoming obedient and is atticted to oreos which is the Martian version of drugs and her interactions with Artemis an Artemis it's still showing resistance and there is some reluctance but we need to see more and when they're fully corrupted in addition to their slut outfits give them a villainous version of their heroic outfits which would actually fit Miss Martian because she had the potential for a villain Arc during her background in Young Justice

Looks great. While I didn't understand your reason to move from SU to this project and not choose to keep Bend or Break 2 going, I praise your work.
And, about this new game, what should we expect? I am not very able to search previous information about it. It will be like SU, or something different? The reason we chose to go with a new project rather than BoB2 was due to use wanting to develop a pipeline for these small games. BoB2 is sitting in limbo because we didn't have the resources or idea of how we could pause SU and do it. So, I suggested that if we were to make this pivot we do so from scratch in order to not miss anything. Think of it this way, you want to build a house. So you buy a 1/3 completed house and finish it. Now you go to build another house and you have no idea how and how long the initial 1/3 took. I wanted to make sure we understood the requirements from initial thought to final completion.

I would expect a BoB experience with expanded mechanics and more characters. Short, fun, sexy, and replayable. BoB in total took about 6 weeks to make. This is taking probably a total of 6-8 months start to finish (I'm gunning for 6), and there is a lot of room to be more efficient in that.

Why you don't go for a franchise that don't have any established porn game like Ben 10 . I don't know but I think you can capitalized more market from that franchise

It may have the same characters but for one ours will be small, fun, sexy, and re-playable, and not an ongoing large project. Plus I'm biased and our art is fucking amazing.

It's not about calling dibs it's about exploring more marketability and in return stability of avoiding competition. Idk it's sound like a smart move imo.

It was from a group I call "The Justice League of Misinformation", one proudly exclaimed that Batgirls tongue is a signature of AI!! Well we released a screenshot of the 100+ layers psd, to disprove that. Do you think they every said it wasn't AI? Nope.

SR7 has to tone down his art for SU, like he has to try and be worse. Go look at the images for EVO so far. You haven't seen his quality yet. You have been given a taste and many think it's AI. The guy is just fucking good.

I understand where you're coming from. But many people don't subscribe to just a single creator, they subscribe to a bunch. There is lots of TAM (I'm sure you know this acronym) in the parody space, and avoiding certain IPs isn't necessary, in my opinion. Also we are going to hit a market both Oni and Ron Chon haven't, and that is web.

Also I believe you shouldn't avoid competition, you engage it, then innovate to become the leader in that space. I don't think avoiding competition is a good strategy. So look for us to tackle what we want, regardless of what is already out there.

I know you're defending sunset and all that but c'mon man SU art isn't bad, idk but recently I feel like you're dismissing and just talking lots of shit out of SU and its development. Feels weird seeing the own devs saying the art from their game is bad, honestly as a patreon that has seen every EVO image released it doesn't seem like a world of difference from SU, put some respect into your own game lol it has lots of great images where sunset shows really good skill.

The words I'm telling you words directly from SR7. His art has always been great, but he will even echo that he has to hold back for SU because he has to mimic his skill level from 10 years ago. Those are his own words. And you can see the uproar from this thread when he shows his improvement, as the Raven from super babes shows.

In my opinion I'm putting a lot of respect on his work. To say his new stuff is light years ahead of his old, isn't a knock. My statement comes from not just being a fan, but his best friend for 25+ years. His new stuff is fucking amazing, and in my opinion isn't in the same league as any of his older stuff.

I've been searching over this thread for a while after having been gone for a long time. I apologize if this has been answered already. My understanding is that the PC version is being converted to renpy, and will have all of the content including Gotham and Themy all in one game. Also, the android will soon be caught up to the pc version, it just needs the bordello added, but it won't contain Gotham and Themy - they will continue to be standalone. Do I have that right?

My apologies I read the part that you put that he has to hold back and try to be worse as an attack to the art of SU, I disagree with you guys (but in a good sense) that sunset has to mimic his art from years ago or his skills, even new art of SU that isn't Raven shows improvement and looks better than the old stuff, if he were trully mimicking his old art even newer characters in gotham or them would look like Tala or Roulette that are some of the oldest. As for your last statement I hope to see the new art as I said in gotham and them we can see his newer skill as compared to some old SU content, if its even better than the new stuff in SU then I'm a patreon for life.
