Proclaiming that it's fair use before arguing it before a court is basically a tacit admission of being a guilty piece of shit. Funny how the devs interviewed Akabur and that was basically his only complaint, that it's OK for him to "steal" copyrighted works, but not OK when people steal his work.

Saves for SU involve downloading and "installing" a registry file. It's not like using saves for a Ren'Py game. There's substantially more risk involved.
I'm not trying to say anyone here would purposefully get you to install a malicious file, but just be aware of what you're asking for.

I've always assumed Sunset was vaguely dyslexic and too proud to get his writing proofread.
Yeah. Kinda fucks whatever little immersion there was. A shame too, because Sunset is a better writer than he is an artist. A lot of the characters feel like a love letter to the JLU and BTA days, very, very authentic and sincere. If anything I'll give him that.
A lot of the parody games here turn the characters into brainless self inserts or would-be-alpha-chads.
He -was- a great artist in the style of the great one himself Bruce Timm, hell I would've nominated SR7 to replace him someday. Then he decided to start milking the fanbase and making copy-pasta poses with a head swap on the same body. Seriously, look at the content from 8+ years ago and all his old art out on the interwebs.
It's a shame how far he's fallen.

Agree to disagree. Most play the game for the art. He is a great artist, you can see some of his past work. It's his modern work that somehow got worse, AI or not. I like his writing too, simple and efficient but I wouldn't say he writes better than he can draw.
It's not as far as we know and as far as GSG is telling us, it's just horribly inconsistent. We know SR7 is using AI prompts to provide poses and the like for the artwork he does but he doesn't actually use AI artwork for the final product unless he's hiding it somehow.
So... doesn't SR7 usually take a month off around this time of year? I swear it's either December or January, which means a proper SU update may not be out until the first month or two of next year.

The roadmap he put out a while back said he supposedly has something planned for December. But it's probably Bend or Break 2. I don't expect SU to get another update till February.

Ah yes, Bend or Break 2... if that's not pure AI I'll be surprised. I'll admit I've been a critic of SR7's work in both production and ethic for years, and I consider him a scam artist grifting on stolen intellectual properties, but it is amazing to see how rapidly he fell from grace. He's skipped multiple releases this year to put out rehashed content in Ren'Py form, the copy pasting got worse, then went away in favor of the three body type bimbo factor being dialed to ten, and then he starts using AI to take away what little creative integrity still existed in his artwork. I will be shocked if BoB2 isn't AI driven, I seem to recall claims made in this topic that it's already been stated that BoB2 will use AI. Honestly, it's kind of pathetic since SR7 has railed against AI in the past.

I believe in the original announcement they stated that they would be looking at implementing AI voice-acting only, but I would not be surprised if they used AI art as well to make the deadline of "coming 2024".

Honestly, AI voice acting is kind of worse than AI artwork. At least in the case of artwork he'd have to feed a bunch of his own work into the program to get it to create anything and he'd then have to do to touch ups. Speech is one of the main places that AI generation has stalled, with the voices lacking proper emotional inflection which results in a singular tone, consistent mispronunciation of basic words, no flow to the speech, and an overall objectively inferior result in comparison to the real thing. AI voice acting is wage theft as it wouldn't be hard to find people ready, willing, and able to give halfway decent pornofied impressions of the cast of LoK. On top of that I doubt anyone is expecting high quality voice acting from a "developer" who is something like nine years deep into developing a game that doesn't even have sound effects. The cheap fuck just doesn't want to pay for soundalike voice actors.
