I believe you were a patron during the time frames you stated and I can totally understand why you left. Cells were getting character additions and there was literally no sex in the game. But since those days the cells have been completed, and a lot of content has been added. I will say it was pressure from places like this that had those cells completed. So if your gripe was cell completion then we did complete it.

constantly delaying patches that no one believes take 5+ months. You guys have a game with such a great potential but its clear you guys are milking tf out of it instead of trying to put some visible effort into it. I keep seeing this “drip feed” of content stuff. I am genuinely curious what human art based game puts out significantly more content per update or in a similar time frame.
I follow a lot of 2d games and none really release more per update, and if they do update faster it’s usually less content.

I get the complaints that it’s similar situations over and over, similar progression for every character, disliking how certain progressions occur, events not finished, etc. But on a purely content per release, even when releases slip, I don’t find this one particularly lacking in comparison.

First I want to say I that we're sorry that your expectations on development length didn't meet our deliveries. As well I see that you're also frustrated with the amount of content in the builds.

But before I move on and address your concerns I think it's important for us to operate in the same factual reality. Everyone will state facts that fit their narratives, but if we're to discuss your issues with us and SU development, we need to have the right facts, and presented correctly.

We have never delayed a patch for 5+ months. Prior to the recent update our largest delay was just north of 14 days. In fact in 2023 our longest delay to date was 11 days.

The last build was released in just shy of 4 months. 3 months and 28 days.

The last build scored just under 2.4.7 which was our best build in 5 years. This recent Gotham build was extremely well received. Even the 4 scorecards I received from F95 users scored it extremely high.

Now onto your concerns.

I addressed the fact above so I will move in the the statement. Again this complaint of "milking" suggesting we're intentionally holding content back, or doing less is confusing. We produce what we do, and have no control over the amount of support we receive. We don't assign your value, you do. We attempt to meet the value of our supporters. But if your suggesting we double production to meet your value, while some other patron thinks one image is worth his support. Then you can see how it would be very hard for us to ever meet anyone expectations. So what we do is have internal content levels that we create regularly. We have hit those target levels since we started tracking them (5+ years)

So you're upset the builds are taking longer, and have less content. I will agree that the last build took longer (I can't deny that), but the content level was actually very close to that of 2.4.7, and this level of content is what we're trying to achieve.

I believe if I were to summarize your complaint into something more actionable, it would be. You want more consistency in build size, and would like timelines met. I agree with both of those, that is why we removed announcing timelines as they are extremely variable, and impossible for us to hit with extreme consistency. As for build size, we are directly aim for this which is evident if you look at 2.4.7 changes and the recent Gotham additions.

I have said previously that there were many outside this forum that were having a very good laugh at the interactions, even mods inside F95 were getting a good laugh. But this thread takes itself very seriously, and it was a mistake to not recognize that.

I agree with you regarding mistakes, however I disagree that we're playing stupid. I'm just trying to understand how we can not milk our fans in your opinion, when by my observations and other comments don't align with your concerns. Can you please share what in my quoted comment was snarky? Also our discord is moderated and is designed to be engaging for supporters. Turning us into your punching bag won't be received well, just like me trolling the trolls here. Sometimes certain communities are just not for others. Yeah I want that as well, I kinda miss the old SU in the sense of the early game, management of the club/bordello, the cells and some of the early women (tala, mercy, lois and roulette) when I do the replays of SU, I really miss some of that earlier moments, it is what brought me over to liking this game, that and the cell corruption of the heroines. While I don't mind the new content (in my opinion Gotham has been such a breath of fresh air FOR ME) I do wish they go back and complete the bordello, remaster roulette and tala and early things like that but I understand how frustrating it has been on the Devs the coding for that parts and how they have moved on to events, like I said Gotham has been good but I do miss some early SU.

Agreed Gotham was a very good return, I’ve always wanted this game to explore threesomes with the heroines and we finally got that in this event. I do want to see the bordello completed though with Wonder Woman but I would probably take more threesome content with heroines like Wonder Woman and Wonder Girl or Hawk Girl and Vixen as examples or even Supergirl and Lois Lane

The cells in particular house the best corruption in all of SU, Miss Martian is always brought up regarding this. So I empathize with you in regards to missing this, as Gotham has been light on corruption (played more into the power dynamic of Lex).

I believe we can get more corruption in, but we may have to specifically plan for it, and SR7 is resolute in characters remaining in character, so if a corruption dialogue sequence doesn't fit to him he won't do it. But that doesn't mean we can't get creative. With the new timelines we have more opportunity for this. And maybe we can accomplish what you want without specifically adding to the cells.

In regards to bordello we have had some brainstorming sessions regarding potential improvements in the future, but only if we can find a way to break it off into Ren'py some way. But we should start seeing some bordello additions coming this year.

This was done to develop the scorecards we use internally. We were absolutely caught off guard with the biggest response, which was tucked away in responses. I clearly understand that my opinion is of zero value here, considering that I was never even a supporter of this game on a patreon (If I had the chance I would tho) or by any other means, but since GG are here I just want to express my feelings about this game from a point of an average player.
There are a lot of things to discuss like art, or this endless talk about coding n shiet, but I believe that the main issue with this game is that there is no real sense of completion I guess. What I mean is that the natural progression is all over the place. Bordello isn't finished, so is the ability to unlock new costumes through it, or the ability to use already unlocked costumes through cell visits in borderllo or GS. League of Shadows hideout and Almerac are completely abandoned. Themyscira, considering that it was your team main focus for the last couple of years, which now labeled as "finished" still doesn't have all the content with the girls: my fellow men still ask for more Hypholita and WW scenes to this day (more Peng scenes PLEASE ), nothing with Yara Wonder Girl, nothing with Cassie or Donna, there is barely anything with Oracle or her women and there is nothing to do in the temple.
Like I've said: just sharing my thoughts on the game. Obviously I'm in no right to demand anything. There are many things I wish were done differently. Sunset is a damn wizard genius in my books. I still think that the game is really well done (though early writing was slightly better imo) and yet I KNOW that it can be just so much more.
Anyway, thank you for not leaving out on the common folk and letting us enjoy the game. Best of luck to the team!

Thanks for your honesty, and our #1 exit survey response is the economy, and or just life gets in the way. That is why we have such low levels for support $1 and have not changed that, as the going sentiment from devs is that the $1.00 support level is not valuable. We do recognize our lack of effort in regards to non-supporters, and we're actively reflecting on that and making changes. There will be more public blogs, and we will ramp up our messaging on threads like this as well.

In the past 6 months we have opened up Free chat for free members on patreon, and we have always welcomed positive people to our discord. There are many from F95 who frequent our free areas.

We have also opened the option to just purchase the post on Patreon as well. So if you feel that $7.00 once a year is all you can share, or it can be once every three years. It doesn't matter the option is there.

If you will allow me I want to add some context to your criticisms. Due to massive outcries from this thread we got an ending to Themyscira (yes content isn't complete). We have also said that we will be fixing up the ending to it, and adding more content this year. My intention for the next part is not to sound like I'm making excuses but admit fault, the two month schedule led to some horrible stuff getting released. Themyscira map for instance just created the need to create content, and we produced areas that feel empty (looking at the market). In a two month cycle you have one option, release what you have and deal. So if you take that and extrapolate it to all the "abandoned" events you can see where the problem lies and the pattern it created. Planning was non-existent to the scale it needed to exist and that is our fault. That has changed, we spent two weeks planning this next build prior to stylus hitting tablet.

As for moving costumes around, and having them available everywhere, won't happen unfortunately. Each one of those images are hand drawn and costumes in general bloat the overall time it takes to make content. So you will have people here get one scene but four costumes and claim that the content is worthless and we're lazy. When in fact it's the complete oppositie, they just don't experience it by holding space bar down. So costumes become a high effort, low impact situation for a large portion of users. We need to avoid those decisions at all costs.

I also want to add that we have stated to our supporters (this will be news here as positive news rarely gets shared) that legacy events will more than likely need complete overhauls when moving to Ren'py. Halloween made this very clear and that is why that update was a bust. We need a complete rebuild of that event to finish whats in there, so we're assuming that's the case for all events at this point.

I do believe the dev will go back to the main game after Apocalypse event, like the Cell content as even though It’s finished. There’s clearly indications in the game that there’s plans for it (Third upgrade option that’s blanked out) And additional Summon rooms and Cell rooms which leaves room for other heroines for when they go back to it.

i do think the Cell corruption stories like the dev said is like ‘Step 2‘ of their corruption(Sluttificaction although some heroines like Black Canary and Hawkgirl correct me if I’m wrong, felt like their stories didnt get finished, same with Lois, not like Batgirl, Huntress, Stargirl, Crush, Zatanna, the Wonder Girls, Raven, Starfire,Vixen(Not sure about Wonder Woman as I think corrupting her is what starts the Themyscira event). Step 3 I think will be dropping their moral code and embracing being a villain, like blackmailing them saying (‘I won’t have sex with you if you don’t rob this bank or kidnap this person for example) then over time it slowly corrupts her. Star Knightess Aura did this perfectly where after every night of being the Knightess, you gain corruption either througn lewd scenes or to break the curse and use the armor to one shot and enemy) and when you are also playing Alicia which is in Aura’s head manipulating each part of her mind and you use that corruption to buy aspects to corrupt her mind further,(the best part about this is that give you complete control over what to corrupt of Aura’s mind)and the goal is either Aura tries to stop the Demon King and Alicia from ruling the world or Aura gets fully corrupted and becomes The Demon King’s Wife.

Now if you want the H scenes, obviously the corrupted ending is where it’s at. But it does bring ideas that I think other devs will get inspired by in terms of corruption and I think third Part of the corruption for the heroines should have inspiration from that.

Yes I think you mention the corruption of Miss Martian as the best one, in my opinion and analysis of why that cell story in particular is brought up a lot is that it really feels complete, when she is fully corrupted the dialogue for all her scenes changes, even the dance and strip sprites change from frowns to smiles, you feel like you completed the job because she is fully corrupted and has everything right? I think that was what made SU so good, full corruption from girls like Miss Martian, Supergirl and Batgirl. Some cells like Hawkgirl feel really incomplete because the full corruption hasn't happened yet, or kind of incomplete like Black Canary or Wonder Woman who haven't fallen completely yet. As for Gotham, yeah the Montoya corruption was good, a bit hoping we would have gotten nickname options but overall you did nail the corruption there, as well in the party (more with batgirl/supergirl than artemis/cheshire). I really like the events and wish to see them complete, I do have my reservations about the medieval one but hoping to see something interesting.
