Man, it looks that way, I don't pay very close attention any more because forward progress is extremely slow. I know they'll say they make new content, but that's a huge part of the problem, they start something and leave it half finished and never complete it so the game is Swiss cheese which makes it pretty hard to play because you run into dead ends left and right. It's just a confusing mess at this point. Nevermind the game itself being an unnecessarily odious grind to make any real progress.
The last time I bothered to check was... When a new city got added to the game, or something?
And that was after a quite a few "updates" too.
"Patronification" of game dev, when you can milk your patrons for all you can with no recourse (and some idiots even white-knighting for these devs...), while releasing minute "updates" in a pace that is just laughable is a real thing. And it's killed a buttload of games I had hopes would FINALLY finish.
But NOPE. XX years of "development", still in what can only be described as eary beta, and then abandoned for a new "milking" project.

Yeah same shi but in different wrapper, can't keep making new content instead you're doing kind of remake, way to go man
What? I'm sorry but are you saying we can't make new content? After we just released content on April 28th? And before that we made content on a defined schedule never missing an update for over 9 years. So correct me if I'm wrong, but are still trying to misinform people about what is happening?

If you want to discuss our decisions, I'm more than open. But please there is no need to intentionally misinform people.

I don't understand why this is so complicated for so many people.

The unity version is made with a tool called Fungus. That tool is barely functional at this point, it's a major cause for some updates being so light... they just couldn't get content to work in it despite it all being done. And before you ask, no, it's not because they're bad at coding, there isn't coding in Fungus, its a visual tool that lets you connect stuff together. Fungus itself has been updated many times since the creation of this game, but you can't transfer the old project to the new one. So, instead of wasting time fucking with that barely functional program (it's the scale of the game that is causing most of the issues, and it's worst in the cells, that's why cell content basically ceased) they're finally depricating it and working on wiping out a decade of tech debt.

This isn't some excuse, I've badgered them for years to ditch it and either rebuild it in a newer version of fungus, or better yet do a ren'py version, since it's very easy to code and you don't have this weird dependency shit that happens in fungus. especially in a game as straight forward as SU... hell, maybe they'll be willing to add a bit more complexity to the events in ren'py because it's much easier to link stuff and have it carry over. The very tiny BoB2 demo we got was a newer version of fungus, but they decided to go ren'py for android and it just makes more sense to use that as the core of ditching unity all together for PC. It'll get to us much faster this way.

SR7 doesn't really do the code portion of the ren'py releases, that's done by Henshin, so it's not like he's wasting his time on that instead of drawing things or writing... he's still doing that, some for the new (very small) game, some for SU, some for whatever else the guy does, I don't know everything they're up to.

I detest all kinds of sharing and pimping content, so I'm not looking forward to that at all.

But I do want to finish breaking her, and getting her to fully submit. Neither her, nor Wonder Woman, nor Supergirl ever truly submit, and THAT is what I would want to see the most
Supergirl kind of accepts her current situation, I mean she just sadly agrees to whatever Lex asks her to do, but you're right man, I guess with WW her breaking point may be in Themyscira but for Hawkgirl maybe Vixen can help Lex break her in fully.

Is there a release date or at least an ETA for the next drop?

It's been a while already and I'm not being unreasonable in asking, yeah?

Next drop will be no new content, just the conversion of the game engine onto ren'py?

Edit: while I'm at it PLEASE drop that camera movement where the scene starts at the bottom and slowly pan upwards to eventually show what we actually want to see. It's awful. The images are static and not animated, and that animated camera movement is just annoying and adds nothing to the scenes.

Just zoom out the art itself so no camera panning is needed and give us the static images itself, please.

Bonus if yall animate those scenes themselves, but I dare not actually ask for it.

No not unreasonable at all. Currently we're working on a small games pipeline (Project Evolution). We're hoping to have an initial build out by the end of the month. From there we will jump into an SU cycle, and I believe SR7 wants to head back to the island of Themyscira.

Sorry but this is incorrect. The next update may be in the full "main game" ren'py version. Or it might go into the stand-alone Themy version initially. All depends on how the conversion is shaping up at that point.

Can you clarify which version you're talking about (Unity, Android, Stand-alone (themy, gotham).

The sheer volume of assets would make that prohibitively expensive. We can always hope that a fan spends the better part of their adult life doing that. As we don't have the resources to hire someone to do that specifically.

Honestly, I only play on PC and the main game, as it has all the content of the standalones in it (right? It's an all-in-one package, right?), but I believe the panning camera thing is (or should be) present in all versions, no? I wouldn't know, but I'm assuming so.

These panning scenes are especially apparent in the Gotham event scenes, but they've honestly been present since the start of the game and have always been super annoying.

Just zoom out and properly show the goods, ya know?

Yeah I get what you're saying, I checked the code for the ren'py standalones to see why the panning of the images stops and the reason is that it is intended, there is a pause of 2.5 everytime it pans a bit, now I'm NOT saying that it is badly coded, on the contrary however I think it is a weird decision to make the camera stop every few seconds, maybe they wanted people to appreciate the image bit by bit but in hindsight I think it would be better for the camera to just pan all the way down pause a bit, then pan all the way up pause then repeat. Another solution could be for new scenes to take into consideration the screen size and perspective to see if they can fit it better for the audience. Just a perspective after checking the game files to see why it happens that way.

I just want the full properly sized image with no panning or camera movement at all. Maybe something very slight but that doesn't obstruct the view of any part of the art, like a super slow horizontal panning that is hardly noticeable. But even that I feel would be unnecessary.

Yes, Henshin had to make a custom pan. We're aware of the pan complaints. Unity uses an actual camera controller, which is smoother.

I just want to know, is the new game just SU but Marvel?
No think Bend Or Break but Marvel.
