am i glad for never spend a single buck of my money to such unreliable content creator. excelent matherial tho, but damn i'd be pissed off
I would just unsubscribe and not ask four times in a row for updatesView attachment 1499188
To be fair, there was zero reason to expect an update on Oct 24. But it is entertaining to see patrons lose their patience.
I would expect nothing less for Halloween buildup despite the fact for our anticipations. Let alone Christmas, there is a possibility nothing ever comes at allView attachment 1499188

Fuck, that means he can take up to 15 more days to release the update...Last release in 2020 was on November 30. Three releases so far this year. I'm was kind of excited to see if he could drag this out to December so there would be a 12 month period with only 3 releases but now I think maybe I was thinking too small and that we may actually hit 3 releases for the 2021 calendar year.
In addition to self-organization, the problem here is also inexperience and ignorance of programming. He's just an amateur and his code is a mess. And the larger the game, the more chaos it introduces into the code. And, as far as I understand, he does not really want to hire a full-fledged programmer, because he is afraid for his brainchild that they will ruin everything for him, deceive and do nothing. Is it really so hard to make a release schedule? 1 month cycle, 3 weeks creating new content, 1 week implementing, testing and patching, release, it that really too much to ask for? You don't have to add ton of content each time, whatever you finish in 3 weeks you add and that's it, the rest can be created next month. But whatever, I'm not paying them money anyway, I can't wait.
They are doing something unlimited.Hopefully working on SU and not playing other games.well SR7 and the other Mod users are all away. So either that means they are doing something (like counting their money)

Or they are all sleeping
I really never got this, like assuming you're hiring actual qualified people I really can't see how them wasting a bunch of your time is possible, or anything but a kind of annoying delay. And, as far as I understand, he does not really want to hire a full-fledged programmer, because he is afraid for his brainchild that they will ruin everything for him, deceive and do nothing.
He was even quoted saying something like "would you trust someone to come in and work on your project?"In addition to self-organization, the problem here is also inexperience and ignorance of programming. I don't know the whole story, but they once had a programmer, and he even worked on a rebuild. His name was LockeKosta. And I also do not know what they had there for the conflict happened, but he was "fired".Are they just hiring any random person on discord who says they can code? Is there not an actual contract in place?
Makes you wonder what they are afraid to lose by hiring someoneI

Businesses making stuff a hell of a lot larger than these games manage to hire programmers, no idea why it's apparently impossible to find a competent person for so many of these devs.

Personally, I am outraged, although I did not invest a cent, not because someone is delaying something, but because the developer cannot and does not want to solve such work issues as: unreasonable saving of resources and unwillingness to hire additional employees. These are the errors that you demonstrated, not because he is in a hurry to release an update quickly, but because, by editing your code from time to time, you accidentally miss the error. For example, a writer - reading his text for the tenth time, he simply will not see the missing letter, because his eyes are accustomed to the text. All you guys need to chill

Sunset is working very hard on making sure the update is stable even though the content has been done for a month now.

It's worth waiting that 80% of updates in the past two years have been delayed that cascade into the next being delayed.

There's no problem in teaser week changing to teaser month and that 2 updates will be AWOL this year because of delays.

You don't even pay for it!
I can't help but roll my eyes when his excuse for not hiring a coder is brought up. Asshole just doesn't want to spend the money because he's too greedy and he would immediately run out of excuses to be his lazy self and put out an update every two to three months. Every Something Unlimited update would be a couple weeks of work for a team with any real skill. In addition to self-organization, the problem here is also inexperience and ignorance of programming.
