He's never promised to match the art style(s) of the DCAU, you made that up.
It's more of a mix between the DCAU designs and the more voluptuous female body shapes seen in the original comics. Add to that the artist's own take on every character. Wonder Woman is almost never depicted as buff in the comics, but that quality is often exaggerated in fan art of her and Sunset has followed suit. So her SU version takes its base from the JLU, her curves from the comics and the muscles from fanart in order to create the Amazon bombshell Lex keeps in his cells.
It's funny though, I never saw people complain about Four Elements Trainer not matching the art style of Avatar. But Sunset does such a good job getting close enough to the show its based on that some people are annoyed over the things that don't match up.
The promise is obviously implied. Not everything in life is literal. The game was originally touted as a DCAU parody with Bruce Timm style art, and it delivers on a lot of that... or at least it used to. It's departed quite a lot as SR7 seems to have gotten lazy OR fatigued. There's a lot of copy and paste going on and to me, it seems like as much or more effort is going into the fan edits on the last few pages than is going into any new content/girls.
And yet again, I don't give a shit about Wonder Woman's size. One specific character is not the problem I'm talking about.
When an artist tries to emulate an art style and they deviate, of course it's going to stick out like a sore thumb. Especially when they've shown that they can be faithful when they want to be. And again, I don't give a shit that SR7 is putting his own spin on things. But to your point, as far as I can tell, Four Elements Trainer did a good job in a lot of areas as far as mimicking the show but it also HAS to deviate because damn near every fuckable character in that game is a child in the show. The quality of the art in that game has also always been pretty inconsistent, with the frequent appearance of temporary art that can sometimes look like it took a few minutes to slap together. The comparison between SU and FET is kind of wonky when they're so different.
And AGAIN, the issue here is the lack of variety. FET is incredibly varied.
You've swung around to making out I'm complaining about the quality or needing to stick to the letter as far as matching the source when every complaint I've had has been about the lack of variety. SR7 is deviating from the source, which is a lot of one kind of samey, and making his big booba versions which are all also very samey just in SR7's own way.
When I raised the point about Wonder Woman originally it was for comparison's sake, not to complain. The post I was replying to was specifically asking about tit sizes and I was pointing out that SR7 has made EVERYONE bigger.
