Just played your game. Interesting start, renders are good and story has a good potential. But there's few things I don't really enjoy.
Let me start with this screen:
sib01.jpg
MC is saying that he got infected. I guess it's some kind of mistype and he means something else.
The same thing with names. As long as we're not choosing them you type them in text and not using variables. And when you're typing you forgot to type it from the capital letter sometimes. Most of the times it's clear but when waitress is called "cat", well... it made me wander why mentally challenged girl call her that furry animal.
There's annoying thing with clicking (or pressing the button) with every render. That's excessive, we don't need to press space (or click) every time the girl blink or scene changes, pause (I mean, waiting for a click) in VN exist for reading purposes only. So after some time I began clicking two of three times for each screen waiting for the next string of text (and missing some text in the process). Click for every render is really annoying, please, do something about it.
And the story thing I don't get. For two years MC has been living a life of... stalker (as we call it in Russia after the famous novel by Strugatskie brothers, even from Soviet times), meaning he's spending time wandering in dangerous zones in search of valuable things. He's risking his life every day for two years and it goes without saying he lost some people he knew during that time. And it's hinted he lost his fiance after the outbreak. And the way Anais saying it they are not just fallen apart. But what we see in the run for medicine when MC lost his two friends... it's the first run of three amateurs that went to red zone for the first time in their life. And after that, when MC run for his life and just fall on his knees on the street - it's behavior of a man who lived the sheltered life and faced the real danger for the first time. I can believe in that if it was during the First Wave (by the way, how many waves is there at all?), like in the first month of the outbreak, but after two years it looks like the scene from bad Hollywood movie, something like bad Asylum movie.
Another thing, a minor moment actually. Rodrigues wants to show MC that he's wrong, he wants to make him suffer. But for what? I don't get it. Rodrigues hired a group to collect goods. No payment in advance. Group failed, most of the group was killed, their car was destroyed. Goods were destroyed too. Not all of it though. But that was a risk from the start, those group who were sent before cannot get goods at all. So for Rodrigues the situation is not changed. But he wants the only survivor of this group to suffer. That survivor already lost his group and car, lost the more or less safe way to earn money. What's his fault? Why he needs to suffer? What he did wrong?

But beside that, story is looking good, it's interesting setting (and yeah, I dig what you're saying about football, Russians feel the same way), and I hope to see what's next for MC, his girls, Ethan and other characters.

Just come across this game, only played the opening part and the first thing that strikes me is the enormous amount of work the dev has put into it. It must be draining for the dev to produce such impressive work, I hope they stick with it and it doesn't end up like so many games and gets abandoned.

So, he only pissed off an arrogant ganger in a position of power by not getting him what he wants, and he also manages to destroy (arbitrary example) a billion dollar worth of loot and leave behind just a couple thousand? Considering what that guy had planned for himself with all the stuff that was there I think he has much more motivation to teach our MC a lesson than many movie villains do. And don't forget the guy has to save face before is underlings, like why would they fear him if you can fuck up that badly and just run off.

There are some good points about MC in your post though, I criticized him in my review as well and we are not alone there, but this bad guy makes a lot of sense to me actually.

The point is Rogrigues made a deal with a group, not MC. Judging by this logic the only survivor owes him. And he must pay his debt. Teach a lesson (i.e. kill him in a cruel way) do not help save face (deal wasn't public), for a watcher it will be an unnecessary cruelty (bandit killed a guy, no one knows why). Bandits (in any place on Earth I suppose) try to bring profit to themselves any means they can. So in my mind a reasonable way to resolve this for Rodrigues is to make MC pay him for the lost goods (and yeah, it means paying till the end of MC's days). Save face and make profit both. Paying villain for that with lives of people dear to MC or MC himself - that's the way of comic supervillains, not bandit ones.

Just played through most of it and have to say, its a beatiful looking game (some of the best renders Ive seen), but the excessive amount of clicking required to move forward is quite off-putting.. Maybe just one click per line of dialogue would be fine and auto advance the bits inbetween? Also, could probably cut down on the amount of renders used for, say, walking down a hallway. Would save the dev time in rendering and me time in clicking..

Other than that though, really impressed and I look forward to seeing how it progresses

My sentiments exactly adding that the text/dialogue UI is a bit off putting

I do hope that the game doesn't make the MC auto win situations/fights like many AVNs do but so far the fight we had we got beaten by a more skilled fighter which is a good thing for the lore/credibility of this world gives me hope

I hope that in future episodes our MC has to make really tough decisions. In a world as broken and messed up like this one is ,once we get attached to other characters and or LI's and something bad happens when we go out on jobs with them it would be awesome and dramatic if there were a possibility of losing the people close to us.

Looking forward to future episodes

I've been really enjoying the story so far, you got me hook line and sinker. Just one thing I'm still not 100% sure on, is everything after the opening scene a flashback or have we progressed from there?

I can't remember now, but it's not looking like it. I thought we might have, but I loaded some of my saves where that could have been and didn't see the opening scene play again. But that was a cursory effort, so it's possible I missed it when going back.
