Eventually, for sure, hopefully. It is definitely the ambition to have animations but they are also tricky. They take a lot of time and energy to do well, and time and energy is a limited resource, especially as a solo developer.

How often is the update window give or take? I know its super early in development so that can change drastically. But a rough estimate?

As you say, it's difficult to tell so far, but if I get the correct dates from Patreon, it's been 6-7 weeks for the first few releases.

I'd say could be, rather than should be. I know the dev had a bit of burn out recently and some other stuff going on that could lead to some expanded dev times compared to what we've previously seen. I'll note, however, that I have not seen anything regarding dates from the dev, so that second bit just speculation on my part, and we could still get the next release in the same sort of timeframe as the previous ones.So in theory the next update should be within the next two weeks or so? The ambition has from the beginning been to drop a new release every 6 weeks or so, somewhere in that ballpark. I pushed myself through it to make it work, because I was so excited, and it worked very well, until real life caught and I had to take a break to fuel up on inspiration and motivation.
That said, I'm back at it again but I don't want make the same mistake again and speculate on a release date because there's a lot of work left. I have the story and script pretty much done but there's like one gazillion renders left to crunch through
