Actually, now that you mention it. I forgot that I haven't raised the school's approval to max yet, because I rather do it bit by bit with each update, than grinding through it in one go.

Yeah, but you said you cheated, you didn't go through the events, and you wonder why it didn't work... lol
Ummm two parts-
1. I skip version. my version was three(?) version before this
2. When I play this and collected all, it's in 49 control
3. Saw your control and I thought maybe there's more content and cheat "only" the control +1
4. at 50 control talked to the club owner but he says the next is in the development
5. current conclusion start from scratch as old save is from the previous version and from your post it should be more then 50 control
yeah so I cheat BUT it's +1 control fam not like ok rain down the all stats
Cheating ANY stat at all, when the story is dependent on them (I don't know that it is in this case, but most of the games I work on, it is), will break your game. Load an older save, and try again.
Check your other hints. That was all I did, follow the hints. They tell you what to do.
I never seem to get the just Thug 1 event. I get Thug 2 all the time and I get the 2 thugs at once event, but I never am able to trigger the just Thug 1 event. Am I doing something wrong?
Not my game, so IDK, my guess would be that if anything, you might get to share someone that "belongs" to someone else. like George's slave girl. But, like I said, I don't know what the dev has planned.

No idea, but as with most unfinished games, using mods will likely break your game.

How bad is the grinding in this game? Is it foot of the mountain bad or maybe indecent desire or somewhere in between?
Grind annoing at start of game to farm stats and basic affinity\corruption, at later stages you get a lot of affinity\corruption from interactions.
Pity that time from update to update is getting longer and updtes smaller.
