Hello everyone, I hope that you all had a wonderful weekend. I just got back from a small trip to clear my head. And after much pondering, I had made the decision to pause the Patreon page for the time being. Please note that this doesn't means the development of Sovereign is canceled, it's just that there will no longer be a set period of time for when I will be releasing new updates for Sovereign.

I have said multiple time in the past that the reason why I began Sovereign is because it's something I enjoy working on and I want to treat it like a hobby. Unfortunately, with the Patreon page, I feel the need to have a periodic release date to reward all those who supported me. Which was all good and well until the end of last year. It's no secret to everyone that since the beginning of the year, I have felt very much burned out. This is mostly because of my actual work that has been very demanding as of late. I don't have as much free time as before, and when I have to spend any free time I got to also work on Sovereign to meet all my committed deadline, it took out all of my enjoyment of working the game.

So what happen now? As mentioned previously, the development of the game is not canceled, I just won't be having any committed deadline anymore. I will be pausing the Patreon page for an indefinite amount of time until I can get back into gear or I might just cancel the Patreon page entirely. In the means time any updates or communication can be done through discord.
What I read is Abandoned. If you don't have time to advance your game and you feel the need to pause Patreon page without a return date and not for a set period of time then you might as well just cancel the whole game.
Not trying to be rude or anything, I'm just tired of false hope.

Sounds to me like he or she wants the freedom to create at a more relaxed pace. I can totally understand him or her wanting to do that because of RL responsibilities. Other games have taken more than this game has taken to put out updates and no one has cried about it. As far as the Patreon thing, perhaps he or she will close Patreon and make the game free for all. Others have done this in the past.
If the Dev does quit, we can understand. But, until he or she comes out with it and says so, I will keep hope that he or she can continue working on it. Trying to rush a Dev is why so many rage-quit. If you truly don't want to wait, that's on you. There are literally thousands of games on this site for you to enjoy.

General way to avoid errors

This mod is built for v 16.1, so use only that version.
Using a previous version save might also cause the error.
So,start a new game to check.

Before extracting or pasting the mod read the read_me.txt file. It has instructions where to paste the files.
The files have to be extracted or pasted in the folder with the .exe

If the error still persists then start a new game, see if that solves the issue.

Delete the texsmods.rpyc and global.rpyc file(it's in global folder) and restart the game.

If you are still having problems then please tell me the steps you take in detail to get the error, maybe attach some pics of the error.

So i redownloaded the game for testing and i have done all the process in a correct way , i play mainly in joiplay
And i found no issues with game opening or screen loading . View attachment Screenrecording_20251101_151838.mp4
But i found the Main issue i guess why it's happening maybe it previous version save file which I loaded v0.16 it's happening only whenever I load my v0.16 save and try to use mod then i get errors maybe I can be wrong but according to me this maybe is issue.
Screenshot_20251101_151941.jpg

And When I started new game and use the mod button all the mods option get available and I can easily mod the stats as you can see
I have done all the things which you have mentioned above even deleting the rypc files nothing changed stills give errors when I try to load save file ..
That's all I have information about my analysis over this ..

Ok opening the 0.16 save must be causing the problem,
So just play a new game.

Any idea what's happening???
After changing the values in the mod move to another location or do some in game action to register the changes made in the mod. Then save the game.
If you make changes in the mod and immediately save without doing any in-game action then the changes won't register or get saved in save file.
