A request for future versions:
I want to be able to SEE the gals that are assigned to the arcade in a future update. Or maybe actually visit said sex arcade so that I can have some sexy fun time with my sexbots! I don't mean the stats, I mean the actual gals. This way, I can admire the actual botgals in their different shell types in a 'lineup' when I visit the sex arcade! Or at least maybe via a thumbnail on the computer in the captain's quarters. Actually being able to visit the arcade would be more awesome though!
Look at all of those sexy bots!
Yeah the infiltrator bot can't be assigned to the sex arcade, but a man can dream...
But on to the other reason for this post:
Attached is an update to that silly Sexbot Confgurator screen mod of mine for version 0.9.0c...
What it does:
1) Increases the number of pod materials that can be stored from 1 to 4. But...
2) Bot part repair costs are now variable, based on the current state of wear.
- A part with 1% quality will require 2 nano or 4 bio pods' worth of material to repair
- A part with 53%+ish quality will require 1 nano or 2 bio pods' worth of material to repair
- A part with 99% quality will require roughly 1/5th nano or 2/5ths bio pods to repair
So yeah, less worn parts will require less material, with Cortex parts requiring roughly double the material vs. other repairs
(I considered quadruple, but this required multiple clicks to repair very heavily worn cortex parts to allow the storage to 'recharge' to cover the materials needed for a full repair, which was a bit confusing).
If the amount of stored material is less than the amount of required material, a partial repair will be made, and if you have no material stored, a message will pop up telling you how much stored material (%) will be required to fully repair the part.
3) Energy costs to train are adjusted as well. The main change is that 50% less clicks are required to bump training levels (so 10% instead of 5% as the baseline for each click, before affinity adjustments. This was done to bring energy pod usage rates closer to bio and nano pod usage rates (so still more, but roughly half of the energy pod usage rate as compared to the previous version of my mod).
4) Auto recharge rates of material storage has been adjusted accordingly (replace 25% of stored material per pod), so if the amount stored is currently 75% or less, one or more pods will be consumed to recharge, to raise the 'stored' amount above 75%. Note that in the case of nano and bio pods, up to 2 or 4 pods will be consumed depending on how much is needed for the repairs.
5) You may view what parts (head, torso, arms, legs) you have available by clicking on the part box in the Bot Configurator screen, without having to go to the inventory console (love that you can now access that console from within the bot configurator btw!). You still need to pick a cortex before you can actually assign any other parts to the bot.
That's about it. To use this, make a backup of 760_sexbot_lab.rpy, (which is in the /game/700_minigames folder) and replace it with the one attached inside of the .7z attached to this post. Easy peasy! And if you wish to uninsall this mod, simply restore the backup of the original 760_sexbot_lab.rpy file.
You may need to 'auto reload' if you are currently 'ingame' when you swap these files, which may require quitting and restarting the game, or if auto-reload is enabled, just hit shift + r (capital R) to activate/deactivate auto reload.
