Yes, most of those are "mind stuff" there is a context to it all but yes you can decide not to see them or even miss them, but the game does a good job of telling you what is going to happen if you choose a certain option

tundralupus is right - you can choose not to watch any non-MC sex through your choices [and avoid all MC sex too, if you like - it's technically possible to play the game on an Abstention path by rejecting everything ]
