How did this game go from one of my favorites, where I anticipated every update, to ho-hum, I can barely be bothered to play each update.

Hmm. Maybe because there is no real content.

Come on RanliLabz. Spacecorps XXX is one of the most unique and fun games here, but quit with the memory scenes already. You should have confined all the memories to a single update, or half an update, and continued with the story.

Your updates have gotten super short lately, which I could look past if anything actually happened with the story worth watching, but the last several updates, since the MC was sent to prison, have been very underwhelming, and not at all fun to play.

Honestly, I don't mind seeing the LI's past experiences, it is clear since the first update that Spacecorps is a giant love-fest. But, nobody cares about all the memory scenes. You are driving away your fans that you have build up over the years and have been with you all this time. We play these games, and support them, for the story.

Honestly I think it's largely due to how slow the story has felt for many since these character specific updates began. Cis is one of the most popular female characters (I think?), she was finally added but if you're not interested in watching her have sex with most of the cast that isn't the MC, then there wasn't really much content compared to the other character's updates. Hell, even the Cole update had more MC m/f content in it compared to this one. It can absolutely be argued that there are story explanations for this given the taboo and all that, but even so, this update had very little content involving the MC at all.

It had some character building between characters which was fine and I don't think people usually would complain this much if it wasn't for the long stream of these types of updates. If I'm not entirely mistaked, Ranlilabz originally said these would be fairly quick updates to get to know the cast better before continuing the story. That was almost a year ago. Anyway, I'm not mad or waving pitchforks or anything but I can understand people being disappointed with the lack of content between MC and cis (even non sexual), especially given the amount of content that was about Cis and everyone else.

Oh i completely get disappointed by the update, hell i am disappointed by the update bcoz she is my favourite character. But i am not surprised. The last couple of updates follow the same pattern. You talk to the character, peek in their minds, see past sexual encounters or your fantasies with them, get to know them better and have a little bit of action.
I am just frankly happy we r done with the last bunk buddy update and can finally move onto to chapter 2 so the story can move forward and we can hopefully get the INT boost procedure for the MC so i dont have to deal with him a complete dumbfuck.

So to reiterate, i get being disappointed but this is definitely in line with what we have gotten so far

In the conversation with Cole (on the Bully path) you still get the Hanzi version if medbay02_gayalternative is False and the Nurse Goodyear version if it is True, instead of vice versa. There are also still a handful of misattributed lines in the cuck fantasy on that same path.

Just checked out the HanZi-Fiora bit, and that was intended. Whoever you rejected went off and molested Cole - so if you had sex with the Nurse, HanZi molested Cole and if you let HanZi jerk you off the Nurse molested Cole.

You will be able to join branches in phase 2 of the game, when you'll have to build up your stats, do quests and so on. The game is currently at the end of phase 1 - next update should wrap it up, so it may still be awhile before that's fully implemented though.

Has the bug where you are unable to select Morgana as your main love interest been fixed in this version?

Not a bug - Morgana can't be picked as primary love interest yet, not sure if you'll be able to pick her later or not.

Is ci-ci fuckable now?

Not yet, well except in a fantasy. MC makes some progress toward getting over his issues with them being related and jerks off in front of her and can see quite a few of her memories when she fucks others if you want to. He can also fuck with her in a fantasy but that's about it.

Something that bugs me. An Ensign is a comissioned officer. A sergeant is a non-commissioned officer. Cis should outrank the drill sergeant. However, ranks don't always cross fields and specialties. For example, a doctor wouldn't be in the chain of command for military decisions, even if they were an Admiral.

Aye, you are correct. Ranli decided that in SpaceCorps things work a bit differently - from lowest rank to highest: cadets, ensigns, sergeants, specialists/lieutenants, majors, captains.

Basically cadet becomes an ensign immediately after training, while sergeants are more seasoned and therefore outrank them. Bugs me as well but what can you do about it.

Thanks for passing it on. That makes sense, but doesn't quite fit the dialogue: The MC complains of having been molested by HanZi too if you get that branch, and by Nurse Goodyear if not (both provided medbay02_ending1 is True).

That if developing these characters was the goal then it would have been a much better idea to have updates that involve the MC interacting with characters and maybe do flashbacks if needed. The games always done flashbacks but those where sliced in with the actual story.

Also the games approaching 3 years, now the games just started pulling the Stairway to heaven with some of these characters. Would have been funny if Anna made a big deal out of a first kiss if he had already somehow ended up with his dick in her ass because of some Spacecorps hijinx, no need to follow the stairway blueprint

I seem to recall that Ranli specifically mentioned that it won't be grindy and the choice and the side quests will be very much story-driven, so not sandbox.
But of course we'll need to see what it'll be in practice. I do trust him to do something more original than the usual stat-rising though, he has been very original so far.

I think that the flashbacks grew way beyond Ranli's original idea -I remember that still at the beginning of the year there was the plan to publish the Anna and the Cole chats in one update. I believe he started to have many ideas and suggestions so that the whole bunk conversations thing became a massive chunk of work.
Some people liked it, some others not, and the fact that his Patreon support is still pretty high if not higher than when he started indicates that it was a generally good idea. However, we can't say it caused a huge delay, and he managed to publish a conversation update per month quite regularly, skipping maybe just one month. And anyway now that part is done and we just need the last update to wrap up Phase 1. Definitely looking forward to the next step!

I suppose I shouldn't be surprised at this point, but I'm still a bit disappointed that the discourse on these forums (forums for a game mind you that is presented to you completely free) is too often a set of very unhelpful comments:
1. Updates are taking too long/Update too small - Again this is free, also it's a lot of work if you're competent at art/code/translation maybe contact the developer and offer to help if not then you can also give to the Patreon and help the developer hire people to help or buy better equipment which will address many of the to small/delayed updates. If you aren't willing to contribute anyway then I'm not sure anyone really needs to hear your complaints.
2. This game has content that I don't like - In most games, including this one, almost all erotic content is optional if you don't like it just avoid it. If there is content that you don't like that is not optional you can either get over it, or simply move on to something that has content you enjoy.
3. Arguing over tags/definitions - On this one I'm just going to say I think you are probably taking this too seriously. Again this is free erotic video game content just relax a bit.

I also wanted to add praise for Space Corps XXX and what the developer has done, presentation and customizability are really top notch for the kind of work in this genre, and while I think we will all admit that story wise much of this is the MC popping from sexual encounter to sexual encounter, there has been a good deal of effort put into world creation. The dialogue and music selection in particular really makes this game stand out. The humor present in the game is really something that I have enjoyed quite a bit. I think, and I believe most would agreed, that the dialogue and humor stands out not just in the field of erotic video games but honestly in the field of visual novels in general. Thank you very much to the developer and all those helping to bring this project along!

This is a forum for game discussion. Not a forum just to praise things regardless of how we feel about them. So understand that I didn't read anything after you stated this if your attitude is to dismiss all criticism.

Despite how much it may upset, people can praise or criticize what they want, although I am of the view that opinions should only hold any real weight to a dev if they are voiced as a paying customer people can still have them. Use some common sense of course, you don't want to turn all the women into futas because of a few enthusiastic patrons.

It was just me expecting so much more out of these last updates? I feel the story progression has been at a halt and taking forever to move on. I for one would be ok with a semi-linear VN instead of these branching things.

We have complained year ago, but then accepted the fate and now we hope that since October (well, better say since December) the story will prevail again. But beware, the next phase will have a different format with various tasks that will shape MC and assign him to one of the SpaceCorps branches.

Once again an amazing update. What a metric eff-ton of renders! Impressive.
I mean there are 4890234 kinks/fetishes/sexual preferences in this game
and ALL OF THEM get scenes / renders. I know of no VN/game with that amount
of divers content.

So yeah the story progression might feel slow but that's only because
of the sheer amount of different scenes that are rendered.

Not all of the content is my cup of tea but I appreciate Ranlilabz doing
something different than the run of the mill banging and/or corrupting
the family game/VN.

Anywho, keep doing what you are doing. The amount of paytreons
proves that you are on the right track and that folks like what you are doing
so you can ignore the anonymous naggers on an internet broad.

Just a reminder that even though you don't have to have sex with any female characters, refusing to engage with them at all can make you miss out on M/M content (Fatima in particular gets a healthy dose of M/M when the protag fantasizes about her family as she describes them).

Also you can't avoid nudity of either gender.

Moreover, there have already been creators/producers of games who ended up in very serious depressions, and then as a result committed suicide, precisely because of the pressure from straight people, as it was imperative to impose heterosexuality to all... Except that by doing that, their games that were absolutely outstanding turned into shit, they all lost between 94% to 99% of their turnover. (almost all of their loyal followers/fans have completely abandoned them)
