Many people comment on the slowness like the dev hasn't done anything or he's lazy. I think that's unfair. The setting has become significantly richer and more in-depth with the bunk bed conversations, not to mention the characters themselves, which are going to be very important for the story.
So yes, I understand those who want the story to move forward, as we are at the same point since some time, and yes, the dev definitely took longer than planned and that's unfortunate, but the world is so much richer.
The pace has been butchered, moments like these where already before we arrived at the bore beds. Doesn't matter what people feel about the dev, what matters is the result.

Maybe you do like it but actually think of the future, would you want this again? for me the game may as well have been on hold since before the bore beds.

Indeed the result is what matters, but I'm perfectly fine with the result. The amount of new info, new sex scenes, new content in general that has been put into the game since the bunk beds is staggering: the fact that the story has not proceeded doesn't mean that the game has been on hold. Story and game are two separate things.

Said that, yes, I'm very ready for the story to move forward and yes, I would prefer that such intermissions do not happen very often because I also like a plot and see progression, but if the quality is the one shown in the last updates, I really can't complain.

For the people complaining that the updates are slow... This isn't Cloud Meadow or the precursor. This is labeled as a BUGFIX UPDATE. There are 400 new images which I presume all feature incredibly well-made 3d images in this BUGFIX UPDATE. Even if they are slow this game adds extremely meaningful content damn near every time and even when it isn't meaningful it's still very high quality. Give the dev some slack they've been hauling ass
I think that Ranli has done great for the majority of Spacecorps development. He has made something truly unique, with quite a lot of irreverent humor, which I have enjoyed a lot. I am not as much a fan of the demonic world sequencies, but I am sure some fans love that part.

My issue is how the game dropped off the cliff in content and quality in the last 4 updates. It had an interesting story, with the MC getting to learn about Spacecorps and the different characters he came across, one of his LIs getting kidnapped, and reuniting with his sister. Then, once he was arrested, every new update became extremely short with no story progression, and still 4 updates later we are stuck in the bunk room hearing about everyones' past sexcapades. I don't mind it in principle, I just find it all too boring. Maybe Ranli is having writer's block and doesn't know where to go from here?

There is so much potential. He could introduce loads of new characters on the spacecraft, he could land somewhere and meet some aliens, the team could be sent to war, or he could even get sucked into the computer virtual world for awhile. Lots of possibilities I came up with in about 1 minute, so I am sure Ranli has lots of similar and better ideas himself. But I wish he would take the story somewhere.

It would be one thing if Spacecorps was always like this, and I would just find something else I like better, but it has been great for most of its development, and with quite sizeable updates, coming regularly, so to see such a change in the last 6 months, has been an unfortunate surprise. Maybe Ranli is bitter about the whole forum situation here (rightfully so, I might add), and his heart is not in it anymore. I hope this isn't the case, as Spacecorps has been truly special up to now.

I would have to say pass on this game unless you are into being a complete retard pussy that loves being cucked. Graphics looks good game play is ok, but mc is a complete retard with no balls and if you try to be anything else i.e. stand up for you self or be anything but a complete whimp its game over. If you are into that kind of thing this game might very well be to your liking. As for me it's unfortunately a hard no.

there is an interesting update on Patreon concerning how phase 2 will work (which, as a side note, is comforting to see, as it means that phase 2 is going to be real and not some kind of mythological creature :ROFLMAO:):

As some of you already know, Phase 2 will concentrate heavily on taking optional missions that improve your Stats [like IQ, Strength and Sex]. The Stats you gain will determine which Branch of SpaceCorps you're eligible for [e.g. you'll need good Strength and Combat to get into Forward Infantry, and good IQ and Data to get into SciCorps].

1635964103753.png

That means making a lot of missions - and for that, I've needed some help. My last Patreon goal was to get more help from contributors... and I've been beavering away on that since the summer

To get the best quality contributions, I've only been contacting experienced developers with games of their own and a track record of regular updates. All make games that I enjoy and subscribe to myself, and all are lovely people who are very much on the SpaceCorps wavelength! You'll be hearing a fair bit about them over the next few months!

So far, 5 developers have agreed to contribute unique Holodeck Missions to SpaceCorps. Between them, they make Straight, Lesbian, Bisexual, Gay, Futa and Trans content. All are at different stages of development, but one [the amazing Snowheart, who makes Bound By Night] has just finished the first of his three planned levels

How it works:

When selecting missions at the start of the day, you'll be able to click Holodeck as a choice [see the main picture above]. That will then open up the screen below, where you can pick from the available Holodeck missions:

MC will then be transported into the digital worlds of the contributing devs - interacting [and usually having sex with] their characters, and learning valuable skills. This means MC will get to battle werewolves in the BBN Universe, or take part in experiments in the Panacea universe... Basically, it's the King Daddy of Crossover p0rn

When will this be out?

I'm still working on the Season Finale - with a planned December release - and you'll be hearing plenty more about that in the weeks to come! That will conclude Phase 1 of SpaceCorps. I'm aiming to release the first episode of Phase 2 in January or February - and it will include at least one of the Holodeck missions.

[as a side note, on Discord he said the planned release date for phase 1 finale is 8 December]

It sounds really ambitious.
It would be a shape if this game got abandoned or phase 2 turns out to be meh bcoz the dev was too ambitious.
I really hope it works bcoz if implemented correctly it would be amazing.

Ranli is known for his, let us say, very epic plans. It seems, however, he has succeeded in recruiting competent help. In such a case we really have reasons to celebrate and believe, phase 2 will start and have (at least) few splendid chapters.

So are those quests repeatable or wat, seems really interesting tho
From what I understood, quests are mini-stories and thus not repeatable (also he hates grind). They might have different stages though, in a sort of multi-episode structure. That of course on top of the main storyline(s).

You mean he is sitting there eating fish n chips and watching someone else doing the work. :LUL:

yes, there's always the risk, and he has the tendency of making big things even bigger (remember when Cole and Anna were supposed to have their bunk bed conversation in a unique update? :ROFLMAO:).
But the positive thing for me is that he has a clear plan, doesn't decise things one step at a time and also he's apparently conscious of his own limits, so that he branched out for help -otherwise doing all the unique missions plus the main storyline would have been even more endless. (I'm also happy he got help for the virtual stable and stuff like that)
So I'm cautiously optimistic!
