Not only was the update really small, it was a flashback starring total strangers you will never see again. Complete waste of time.

Is there a way to change the Main character's name, Your name? I did my name and then later shortly after I found out that the name I chose is the same name as one of the characters in the game. Its very confusing when that person is in the dialogue because I don't know if i'm talking or if its the other person talking. I'd rather not start over because I'm into the game and I've made a lot of choices already. I rather change the other person's name before my own but if i do that then I'd have to change the entire game vs changing my name and its meant to be different names anyway.

. It should work for something as simple as a name, you just import the save and edit the field and put the save back in the game, however with external editors there's always a chance you'll corrupt something and make the save unreadable, so keep backups!
my save of v2.7.4. doesn't continue in v2.7.5. .. is it normal? I arrive at exactly the same scene with a portal and some aliens and I get "to be continued again"..

That's supposed to happen, 2.7.5 ends at the same point in the story as 2.7.4. The 2.7.6 update will add the new story scene.

The only new content in 2.7.5 that's not in 2.7.4 is the orgy scene that's part of the xenobiology mission + some of the post-lecture dialogue (the Anna part is still wip and will be complete in 2.7.6). So just play through the mission - if you've already seen the actual lecture part before, you can just skip through to the orgy part.

Is the free version skipping another month? Updates are normally Patreons only for 6-10 days but this one has been for a fortnight.
According to the dev: It'll be on Early Release to Lieutenants, Captains & Majors on the 30th November. This is one of those ones that will stay Lieutenant+ for a little longer than usual [just due to where the 'to be continued' falls] - but all ranks will get the update by the end of December.
I think he has done it a couple of times when the update was not too big
