So this is something I wanted to talk about a bit. Yes, the dev has made promises to change this in a coming update but I think it's a big ask. Let's go over the characters, shall we? Nurse Fiona Goodyear will examine you and make objectifying comments throughout when for all intents and purposes she's doing this to a highly religious caste man who is very clearly uncomfortable with all this. Then we have Lieutenant Kex who you politely ask for directions from and then proceeds to sexually assault you after lying about intent to help you. I don't think I want to bring up Sarge yet, but stuff about her goes without saying. Femdom has been in this game structurally at this point and can't be removed. None of the staff members are men so far. I'm not saying they have to be, but someone or someones have to be the commanding power early on and unless we get an option to turn everyone male, it's very unlikely that femdom can be erased from the game. At this point, I'll also advocate that the only change to be done for femdom to be changing the femdom disabled card from "this will significantly alter gameplay FORBIDDING additional femdom content" to "this may alter gameplay and reduces some of the femdom content". This will be tied to Sarge so hang on a bit for my explanation of this.

No idea what Ugless means but if you meant ugly, the gay content here can largely be skipped over. And the m/m content is nothing in proportion to the f/m content. Yes, the individual scenes when reduced to that may be limited but there is a ton of artwork for each scene. Also, it does have a lot of kinks but there is a larger problem here (again I'll get to it with Sarge).
MC's only been on board for about four hours now! The 'Phase 1' intro sequence we're in is mainly about establishing the gameplay, psychometrics and characters before the paths start really branching out according to player choice
Phase 2 (stat building) will be a bit pacier, with more missions and mysteries and combat, etc. because I'll have earned the jump cuts

It was previously brought up that this is version 2.3, We are still on phase 1 but it seems as though major branches have to be made later on. I can't find the quote but it seems as though we will be able to choose between the 7 branches and have more of a sandbox mode. That will make the game much harder to make because of the nature of these branching paths. I thought the game would just be 2 sections but I don't know how player agency will be retained for the future phases. That seems like a ton of work and I won't be surprised if the updates get even larger with that goal in mind.

tick, tick, tick, tick to the checklist as the game goes on - if players choose, of course! Intelligence will be intro'd as a stat in a couple of months
So I came here primarily to see discussion of the new stats introduced. So I wanted to mention a few things. This game has a bit of unreliable narrator going on because sometimes consequences and set up are strictly for comedic purposes and sometimes they are meant to be built upon. For example, in too much of what we do, there are survivability checks like decontamination (you will likely get out alive) being revived by the AI has a chance of death and the Sarge fight have a chance of death. At some point compounding likely survives means almost certain death. Let's say that you have a 1/100 chance of death in an event. Your odds of survival are pretty good. Now let's say you have to run that over 1000 times. Your chance of death is 99.995682875%. Not the best odds. In these risks, we have heard talks about losing intelligence. In anything other than a comedy that is a serious charge but we don't know what isn't comedy here because everything presented with a chance to seriously harm seems to come in part totally serious. But if we get so many chances of death then there is no way this space force could exist. Ever. They'd get too few people surviving let alone the people still fit enough to work after the injuries in Filtecorps, Scicorps Bureau, or Medicorps. Conscription would carry out an automatic population decimation before any soldiers touch a weapon (age notwithstanding). Now the reason I'm bringing this up is that now what was clearly a joke that none of the cast would die from seems like a plausible threat then it would be difficult to separate what is and isn't a threat with this new variable thrown into the mix.
Now to go over to the Sargeant. Let me compare the Seargent to Cadet Jared Cole Jr. One of these characters isn't like the other for the opposite of the setup reason. Jared is a bully who the audience is supposed to hate explicitly would want to dominate him because he seems like a threat to getting your girls (and possibly Sam if you're gay enough). The problem is that the Jared we are getting someone who currently doesn't resemble the shy boy we'd like to beat and rape nor the bully we'd like to beat and rape. His characterization seems a lot more like a recovering alcoholic. Between the characters making fun of his pecker, the reserved nature of his introduction, and his treatment from Sarge, Jared seems like the most sympathetic character in the group. This is very in contrast to Sarge who is supposed to be the femdom fantasy. Sarge actually has power over you and is an active threat to your safety. I would be willing to kill Sarge in self-defense because killing the PC is only something that is 'frowned upon' that coupled with her extreme interest in killing me at the end of my playthrough I feel justified in doing so had I had the chance. Jared was intended to be the character that kicked the dog (the dog being the MC) in an underdog rises up story. But it ends up being Sarge who is kicking 2 dogs instead. That is why there is so much vitriol towards Sarge and not Jared. Someone said (and I can't find the quote) something along the lines of 'Jared's story could be that he was only acting the way he was towards you because he secretly had a crush on you". Honestly, that's a lot better than any bond we might make with Sam at this point because Jared seems to actually have a dynamic and sympathetic character that I am actually interested in not hurting. You should check my kinklist and name and then you'll see why that's an achievement.
This is the reason why we should leave the femdom content as is. Sarge is actually a detestable character and the game is too structurally built with authority figures who are women to change things now.

So I wanted to mention how interesting the faith and obedience stats are in this game. Generally speaking when it comes to games with morality functions. Being a horrible evil person gives you more power at the cost of emotional satisfaction. For the Faith stat being evil means being a more dominant character who nobody fucks with. But not here. Here the lower the faith the more you have to submit to the demons (something I am loathed to do). This actually means that more power costs the gratification of perversion (which is what people who play this game are let's be honest). Same for obedience. I am not one to submit to others but I do love the structure of the s

I will admit though I have no idea what having a high perversion or relationship score with any of the characters entail. Do any of them treat you differently if you have a high/low score with any of these people across either of those variables bar the immediate text following an increase or decrease in point changes? Because I'm not noticing it. Maybe put in "
she said that because
she likes/dislikes you" briefly on the top left of the screen to make it clearer because it doesn't feel like it has an effect even when it might (I genuinely don't know if it does or does not).
