I am definitely enjoying the western theme of the game, and I'm hoping that whenever we get around to doing some firearms training we will get one of those classic scenes where the country bumpkin gets ready for war and it turns out that he is a remarkably good shot due to his upbringing. You know, kind of like the scene in the old Gary Cooper movie Sergeant York where all the new recruits are missing the target, and then Alvin asks the rangemaster to check the target again and they find out that he actually hit the bullseye.
Although, I suppose that might not work so well here since they are all backwater country recruits, so you won't have a character from the city like Pusher who pokes himself in the eye because he's never fired a gun before. On second thought, Jared is a spoiled rich kid who calls us a peasant, so maybe he could once again be the butt of the joke here. I mostly just want to see Kruseff's jaw hit the floor when she finally finds something that we are good at. Our character is often embarrassing himself by being a fish out of water, so it would be nice to have something he does well for a change.
Anyways, I'm just sitting here imaging what could possibly happen in the future as I patiently await the next release. I'm guessing firearms training isn't included in the next update that is focused on Hell, hair, and haberdashery (unless the Hell part is because firearms training went horribly wrong) so I suppose I'll have a lot of time to imagine what will happen in the future with the new recruits. In the meantime, I guess I can imagine how great Fatima will look when she gets her hair back, and her new uniform, and uh... you know what... I'll be in my bunk.
