good point about the differences in incest x cheating. Probably has to do also with the fact that incest is a sexual act you are physically involved so you enjoy it carnally, but you have not the same carnal pleasure when your partner is cheating
This reminds me of the idiom: If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?” The answer to this of course it made a sound because as anyone knows when tree's fall they make a sound. If someone has sex with their cousin in the past and you chose not to hear the story the fact that you prefer not to hear about it doesn't negate that the act actually happened.

Technically speaking, you are wrong here. It doesn't make a sound at all. It makes a pressure wave. Ears turn pressure waves into electrical signals that the brain interprets as 'sound'. So no sound technically exists because no observer was there to experience it firsthand. Just pointing out that the idiom you are referencing does not have an obvious answer.
What your saying is because the subject is not around to "hear" the sound wave the sound doesn't exist(no brain to quantify the sound wave as we vocalize it as sound). Trail Cams in deer trails pickup both video and audio at a specified times(past or present if live feed) whether one listens to that feed live or later the sounds you will hear and as you put brain identifies pressure waves. Another example that blew my mind was that the universe makes sounds by gravitational waves, but where not there to observe these sounds(at least I was unaware of them till someone or some documentary told me). When the wind blows across leaves in the forest or reeds the fauna of the forest hears the sound even if I the subject(myself) is not there was my point.
that's not my logic, it is literally how the game works: Ranli has explicitly said that if you do not see something in your run, that thing never happened in your timeline, the fact that it exists in the realm of possibilities of the game doesn't matter. It's not just a scene that you skipped.
