though in fairness calling something a "special" usually means extra to the normal story.

just fyi, i've updated my unofficial android port of SpaceCorpsXXX v2.3.1.
a matter of taste. It introduced a point system mechanics for the training to determine your Spacecorps branch (and, I guess, the path to the ending in part 3) instead of the standard visual novel. I don't mind the choice and I like the variety. Also, in these first updates, there is quite a lot of mission dumping to create content and choices. I guess that, once there are enough missions, the focus will be more on the events of the story (which are anyway not neglected).
We're getting also rather close updates, with the rhythm of every month pretty much maintained (remember the last part of season 1 where the updates were quite far in between), so I can't really complain.
But I agree that with the new system I am more inclined to play the new content in batches and not every month.

bruh did they really go "not enough sidetracks, need werewolves"? The game has been developing for 4 years now, the dude didn't do anything remotely spacecorps-related, he literally just walked to his bunk and fell asleep. Imagine "full metal jacket" had the dude walk to the bed, fall asleep, then the movie switches to tom and jerry for the next ten minutes

Honestly (even though I'm a big fan of the game) I have to admit that the missions made by other devs don't look like they belong here. He seems to have gotten lasier as he churns out less content within a single update by himself than he used to. I desperately want more content with the main crew members espescially Anna and Ci-Ci. Like what was the point of picking your main love interest when all it does is it adds a single scene ? I know he did some polls on his Patreon where the members seem to have relegated Anna and Ci-Ci to a deep background which clearly wasn't his creative vision and when you allow outsiders to interfere with you creative vision the creation itself can end up disjointed.
I'll still be waiting for his updates with impatience and hope he proves me wrong.
There may be less content in each update, but you need to realize that the updates also have a consistent monthly schedule now. In this time there would have been at most updates. I generally you about the guest missions, but also acknowledge them for what they are: content to fill the mission roster.
The thing about the polls is that they do not affect a characters role in the story it just means they get more content and sooner. Fatima and Sam won, so they get priority over the other other squad members. But to say that about Anna and Cis is silly since they both have the most main story relevancy out of the squad members, even if they have no new sex scenes so far.
To give you something to look forward to: the Dev said on Discord that a major Anna event is planned for the end of the year. In the old update schedule this would mean next update.

Season 1 was good in some places but then they spent like a year on the pre-sleep thing and nothing was moving along. I'd like to see more development though and more options for this because it feels just really linear.
