It's been on my mind for a while... Do these creators use and plot motion captures to make animations or sth?

B/c in terms of body movements, they look good to great. But when it comes to hands/ fingers, they look amateurish, out of place and annoyingly/ strangely wiggling like a cuttlefish's arms.
