how do you get the selections in english? The setup of the game before it starts is all in Japanese. I have no idea what features I'm setting. Also, this appears to be a sequal (or at least it's asking for a save file to draw story from before it starts). Is that on here?

It depends on the program you use and what language you are translating from and into.
I've seen some pretty good MTLs and some that were absolutely terrible.
