I reckon the confusion stems from:

translate ENG cap_01_sc_02_5878ff40:

    # mc "(Progettavamo il nostro futuro.)"
    mc "(We were planning our future together.)"

'Together' seems to imply they were together (as in being a couple).
When I plainly translate it to English I get "We were planning our future."

"We were both planning our futures." seems better and removes the ambiguity.

Aye, the way mc implies it to himself/the player in his thoughts at the very beginning, it sounds like they were a couple. It needs changed to, we were friends planning our future (not together)

That's later on in the vn. In the beginning mc talks like they were together. Needs changed to they were friends planning their future (and not together). And really close can also implie being a couple. The only line of text there that changes mc thoughts that he gave us earlier, is her line in your 2nd pic

He also says together. Too a lot of people, that implies being a couple. Being close can also imply being a couple. Dev needs to change it to friends, and leave out together. The only line of text that cancels out his thoughts he gave us is her comment asking why they never got together, if you even get that comment. Before she says that, it sounded like they were a couple planning their future, and she cucked mc for the other guy. He even says she left him for the other guy

As well, that scene where she says "Why did we never get together?", was not in my playthrough. She was never laying down in the MC's lap on the couch chatting with him. In my playthrough, they sat on opposite ends of the couch and never touched each other. And she never asked that question.

Thus, you understand the confusion. Some people got the line, others did not. I'm assuming you only get that line if you are nice and kind and sleep with her. If you are not nice, you never cuddle on the couch, and she doesn't say that line at all.

So, it has nothing to do with not reading what we play. It's just we saw two different paths.

I found a small issue.

I said yes to Violet in the Gas Station Basement. Had sex with her, even finished inside her. The game then marks it has not happening. When I get inside Sherry and Randall's house, the MC thinks something like: "He blames me for having sex with Violet (or sleeping, or something) but I didn't." when I quite clearly did.

In the end recap, again it says that I refused Violet in the Gas Station.

The recap I can confirm: required variable is not set when MC agrees to have sex in 2nd instance.

The @ Sherry's house stuff you describe I 'm not sure about. Could it be that's another thing you're referring to perhaps (telling Sam that you did / didn't sleep with the dean)?

If she were my best friend and then pulled a move like that, she'd be dead to me, and I wouldn't want anything to do with that person anymore. First, she leaves you, and then she lets some rich guy take her virginity. There's not much romance there. I think maybe the prologue should be rewritten because the way Violet is portrayed, I don't want anything to do with her, but the developer is forcing us to start something with her. Yea that's pretty much what threw me off. Including the bits where if you decide to confront the guy. He mentions how you're trying to show off in front of her and how she belongs to him now. That whole section came off like she was an ex-gf. Which then led to me picking the uncaring choices. To burn that bridge from the get go. Which after checking, is why I also didn't see that scene with her laying down. Talking about why they never got together.

However.... now with clarification from the dev. The overly friendly tone of the convo on the couch. Does make a bit more sense now.

I honestly don't think she was a virgin at that moment. The way it is written, one gets the feeling that she easily spread her legs for her stability and easy life. Again, I’m basing this on negative choices with her while playing through the game.
Even MC calls her a whore with negative answer choices.
It's encouraging that, judging by everything, her imposition of MC is a bug and can be avoided like the plague in the future. That's why her whole story evokes negativity towards her, at least in me.

Overall a funny start, thought Violet is way to forced...
I picked any ''bad'' choice (most of them felt like the natural choice when it comes to her), called her a whore etc and are still forced to spoon her. Listen to her talk about she is ready to share...girl i have zero interest in you, fuck off.
You call her a whore, insult her at any chance and short time later she asks if you love her, that you are the most important person etc... it feels ridiculous

Then there is the Recap which tells me Violet wanted to have sex and about tension...MC called her a brainless idiot and a whore, there were no hands meeting or any tension, neither was there there warmth or attraction...and for some reason it says Zyra seems not really interested to meet again, expect she seems quite happy and excited to do so before the recap (probably for some dumb reason as i said no to her fucking Violet who knows)...

I wish 8000km apart means i don't have too see her for long time...Sherry would have been great, what a waste to leave her behind and get burdened with Violet.

yh only got to the part where you meet cody and violet, since shes on the front banner ill take it shes a main LI, thats gonna have most of the focus.. so i see zero reseaon to stick around, would rather play a NTR game then this kind of plot.
