Costs significantly more NG+ points, and mana. Why use Thunderbolt when you can use Lightning Sword?
dude im might've to redo my first playthrough and play it slowly, and use every item on the game beside apple for healing lmaoI don't usually use Thunderbolt on Bandit Leader. For me 4 Stasis bombs are enough if I use them carefully. If you use them on turns when Bandit Leader is gonna use Pierce he would lose a turn and Aura would get Tactical Advantage to use Pierce herself on the next turn.
i dont even know what ur talking about cus im still on my first playthrough and still tryna figure shit out
does later on we got more powerful weapon or just upgrade current weapon and add a bunch of stat/element?
Opportunity cost of using Lightning Sword as your enhance-spell instead of something else. Why use Thunderbolt when you can use Lightning Sword?
There's no urgency to killing the Bandit Leader. If you're playing NG, just wait until after the Festival to kill him. But also, it doesn't take long to get 25 MP, and Lightning Sword is much better bang for your MP buck than anything you could spend it on in the early game except summoning Slime (things like harvesting mana nodes notwithstanding). 3 casts of Thunderbolt in one fight versus having effective damage on the vast majority of enemies? Sure, Lightning Sword may be more expensive to take for NG+, but it's also more expensive to learn, so the savings are correspondingly better, and with Lightning Sword you can potentially skip learning Thunderbolt entirely.Costs significantly more NG+ points, and mana.
These are early game bosses we were talking about.
I guess that would matter if there was a better Enhance spell to use, but... you have to get a long ways into the game before that's the case. There's Water Skin against specifically Sathanas, and otherwise it's not until Water Skin for Mount Firestorm or Radiance for some Central Lake enemies. Meanwhile Lightning Sword trivializes tons of fights long before that.Opportunity cost of using Lightning Sword as your enhance-spell instead of something else.
Water skin protects you from from bomb using humans and you can still get Advantage using the lightning spell or stasis bombs. Shadowcloak is the enhancement i had on most of the game after i got it, radiance was #2 for the dark resist. Rock armor protects you from lightning-user humans. I do agree that lightning sword for NG+ is a tempting choice though. There's no urgency to killing the Bandit Leader. If you're playing NG, just wait until after the Festival to kill him. Rock Armor is completely skippable imo. Offense > defense, it's better to kill the lightning users than tank against them, and there's comparatively a lot fewer of them. You can also use Lightning Jam Coatings. Honestly the place where Rock Armor would probably be the most useful is against the Stasis Bomb-throwing Neophyte Worshippers in the Refugee Camp Caves, but you don't have access to it there anyway in NG, and in NG+ Lightning Sword would be better because then you can just kill them.Water skin protects you from from bomb using humans and you can still get Advantage using the lightning spell or stasis bombs. After re-examining how many enemies are either weak to thunder (a surprising number of non-humans are too) or resist physical but do not resist thunder in most of the game, I now agree, lightning sword is the GOAT and i wanna use it in my upcoming alicia mode runRock Armor is completely skippable imo. Shadowcloak is useful in specific map situations but generally less useful for combat and imo also skippable. The best use for it imo is skipping fights in Richard's domain, though there's not many fights you can only skip with Shadowcloak, it mostly just makes it easier.
You don't need to defend yourself against Bombs when you can just kill the enemies before they throw them. You become capable of doing this pretty early with all the generic Forest Bandits without needing a source of Thunder damage, just by having enough ATK and AGI to OHKO them before they can throw a Bomb. But if you had Lightning Sword, it would be all the easier, mostly by virtue of not needing to Pierce the Corrupt Guards and/or not needing Slime's help. Once you've got Lightning Sword and Offensive Stance, the Bandit Leader fight is also trivialized, and the bridge bandits are also trivialized if you throw in Slash.
The numbers have will have changed a little, but this is still going to be the case.Compressed version pls
It's probably not worth the effort. Of the 750ish MBs of unzipped game there are more than 300 MBs that aren't images/audio files, so even if you managed to magically compress the images and audio down to nothing the game would still be about 40% of its original size.
I see, thanks for replyThe numbers have will have changed a little, but this is still going to be the case.
